Note how the car has been set up for the ensuing explosion. The tires are set in place and covers have been bolted onto the side doors and painted over.

Another 1993-1994 model seen in the shootout at the beginning of the film:

Note how the chrome on the 1995-1997 model next to it has been painted over black along with the front portion of the car.

TRIVIA: the man with the camera seen running to the left was actually a cameraman from the film crew that got a little too into the shot. He was left on as the director thought that he looked like an on-scene news cameraman.

It's probably because it's only the second Bravada on the site (and the only one from the 1991-1994 generation). Plus, I don't think too many other people had heard of it. Let's face it...it wasn't as common as its "siblings" and was the more luxurious one. 2008-12-31 03:10

I've replaced the main picture with a better one. According to the director in the commentary, they took a brand new fire truck and converted it into this, but had trouble with it throughout the production. This same truck can be seen in numerous other movies and tv shows now.

It's a 1991-1994 model, so many would consider it to be "old" by 2007. I'm sure it wasn't too expensive to buy, or even borrow.

First of all...patience is a virtue, my friend. You can't expect changes to be made immediately ;)

Second of all, I'm not sure I understand your explanations. What does this have to do with the truck in the main picture (which you call a 2007) if it's a 2008 and looks slightly different? I'm not quite sure I follow:

There's no bumper trim. This is a 2003-2005 CV Police Interceptor. You can see where the PI badge has been painted over/covered up in the rear.

However, the rear tire is one from 1998-2002 models; notice how it protrudes too much to the outside due to the redesigned suspension, brakes, steering and frame that came with the 2003 model. Because of the new underpinnings, the wheels for the newer cars have a much higher offset.
