1929 Hudson Super Six
Seabiscuit (2003)
I think this might be a 1929 Hudson. The radiator was more squared at the top in 1930, whereas this one looks slightly rounded, ala 1929. 2007-08-05 07:32
1939 Ford Ambulance Siebert
Seabiscuit (2003)
There was a V-8 emblem at the top-center of the grille on the 1938 models, but not on the 1939's, so this is a 1939. This detail is not so visible in this photo, but is clear to see in other views during this sequence in the film. 2007-08-05 07:23
1928 Ford Model A
Evil Under the Sun (1982)
I think this is more likely a 1928 or 1929 Ford Model A. In 1930 the tie-bar supporting the headlights was slightly arched, and the "widow's peak" at the top of the grille was more pointed. 2007-07-25 07:40
1938 Ford F-Series
Se alkoi sateessa (1953)
This is a 1938 Ford, not 1939. The 1938 models had a V8 emblem at the top center of the grille, as this one does, while the 1939 models did not. 2007-07-16 21:19
1931 Ford Model A
Lasisydän (1959)
The painted grille insert (visible at top) makes this a 1931 Ford Model A. 2007-07-15 07:03
1936 Packard One-Twenty Convertible Coupe [120B]
Richie Rich (1994)
Packard for sure. I'd guess about a 1937. 2007-07-15 07:00

Crashing Through Danger (1938)
Perhaps a 1931 Dodge? 2007-07-13 07:38
Ford Model A
And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself (2003)
The top of the grille looks like a 1930 Ford, with the oval emblem removed. The inside top was more rounded in 1928-29, and became more like this "widow's peak" in 1930. In 1931 panels at the top and bottom of the radiator were painted body color. That being said, the drum-shaped headlights shown in the second photo do not match any Ford of these years. I suspect the car has been altered from stock condition. 2007-07-12 05:43
unknown Dual Cowl Phaeton
Dick Tracy (1937)
I think this is a 1928 Cadillac DC Phaeton. It has no parking lights on the fenders; these weren't added until 1929. 2007-07-10 18:28
1930 Packard Ambulance Henney [7]
Modern Times (1936)
Taillight and bumpers make this a Packard of 1930 or 1931. 2007-07-10 18:20
1934 Ford V8 Standard Tudor Sedan [40]
Fried Green Tomatoes (1991)
The slanted hood louvres look straight, rather than slightly curved, which would suggest 1934. 2007-07-06 06:59
1928 Ford Model A Roadster
Fried Green Tomatoes (1991)
Straight tie-bar between headlights makes this a 1928 or 1929 Ford Model A. 2007-07-06 06:57
1940 Lincoln Zephyr
Lonely Hearts (2006)
Very fuzzy photo, but it might also be a 1939 Dodge. 2007-07-03 06:59
1939 Chevrolet Master De Luxe [JA]
Lonely Hearts (2006)
I agree with big dave - I have several photos of 1939 Chevrolets with this hood ornament. And the grille is also spot on. 2007-07-03 06:47
1940 Ford V8 De Luxe Fordor [01A]
Lonely Hearts (2006)
The chevron-shaped taillights make this a 1940 Ford. 2007-07-03 06:36
1949 Cadillac Fleetwood 75
The Godfather (1972)
I disagree. This is a 1947 Cadillac. The 1948 models were totally restyled, and had the first tailfins. The 1948 grille was much simpler than on this car, and the foglights were not part of the grille. 2007-06-25 19:29

The Batman (1943)
I think this is a 1935 Studebaker. 2007-06-22 21:06
1954 Hudson Hornet [7D]
Hairspray (2007)
1954 Hudson. 2007-06-10 05:46
1931 Studebaker Dictator 6 Business Coupe [54]
Bonnie and Clyde (1967)
I question this identification. I have never seen an Oldsmobile with this type of double bumper with a v-dip in the center, or this type of hood ornament. 2007-06-05 07:25
1932 Nash 970 Four-Door Sedan
Bonnie and Clyde (1967)
The license plates on this car mysteriously change overnight from Texas H26-643 to Iowa 2-4935. So it might not be exactly the same car. Perhaps the first one was no longer available when they were shooting the later scenes. 2007-06-05 07:05
1934 Ford V8 Tudor [40]
Bonnie and Clyde (1967)
1933 hood louvres were slightly curved. These are straight, so I believe this is a 1934 Ford. 2007-06-05 06:52
1947 Mercury Eight Club Coupe [79M-72]
Eva Perón (1996)
1947-48 Mercury. The 1946 grille did not have the chrome surround, as this car does. 2007-05-19 01:58

The Shadow (1994)
Based on the shape of the taillights, and the bumper wing guards, I think this is more likely a 1941 Chevrolet. 2007-05-09 19:46
1940 Chevrolet Master De Luxe Sports Coupe
High Sierra (1941)
