There are a lot of "goofs" visible in the pictures and videos. One big goof can be seen here:![]() There are a bunch of photos of this SWAT van sitting in front of the "United States Court House." Unfortunately, the flags are placed incorrectly. When facing the building, the US flag should be on the left. The state flag should be on the right. Unfortunately, they used a City of Philadelphia flag: ![]() instead of a State of Pennsylvania flag: ![]() It's my understanding that the custom is the same in Britain. When facing the building, wouldn't the Union Jack be on the left and the Scottish Saltire be on the right? The license plates are all over the place. The fonts used are clearly wrong. In addition, it looks like a bunch of the plates are anachronistic. The worst one appears to be this plate on a PT Cruiser: ![]() While many cars have anachronistic yellow Pennsylvania license plates which haven't been issued since 1983: ![]() The bottom of the plate on the PT Cruiser reads, "Vacationland," which indicates that it's a yellow Maine plate that hasn't been issued since 1973: -- Last edit: 2012-02-11 23:00:53 |

| The Lying Game (2011-2013) |
The show is set in Phoenix, AZ area as you can see from the "Phoenix Transit Center" (/vehicle_425622-Honda-Fit-GD.html) and the Scottsdale Police Car (/vehicle_425644-Dodge-Charger.html). There's also an early scene in Las Vegas, NV (/vehicle_425613-Nissan-Versa-C11.html) and a scene set in Los Angeles, CA at the end of the episode.![]() ![]() The California plate appears to be on a late-1960s Buick Skylark. According to http://www.smogcheck.ca.gov/, California EZP265 was on a 1995 Ford Mustang and a 2000 Honda Civic. -- Last edit: 2012-02-11 22:58:33 |

According to the plate collector site: http://www.15q.net/ga.html![]() "Georgia 1998 passenger issue. Another current-base Peach issue. Prior to 1997, the "two-alpha" format was reserved for non-passenger categories (truck, trailer, etc.) These designations were eliminated by a 1997 law, however. Since plates in the 1234 AB format had already been produced, the state went ahead and issued them, regardless of vehicle class. As a result, many plates in this format were issued to passenger cars. This plate comes from Candler county." -- Last edit: 2012-02-11 22:57:21 |

| 1989 Peugeot 405 S 1.9i Chaos (2011) | I know. I suppose the car is "unmarked" rather than "undercover." A lenghty discussion about the difference can be found here: /vehicle_399259-Ford-Crown-Victoria-P71-2003.html In the episode, the detective was following the CIA agents. Of course, the agents knew he was following them, and the detective knew the agents knew. The agents had someone crash into his car so he could not follow them. In the episode, he tells the agents that he just paid off the car. That would indicate the detective owns the car, and not the National Police. | 2011-08-04 01:46 | |

You are correct. I used to work at a movie theater, and in the mornings before we opened for the day, we would have "press screenings" for local film critics so they could write reviews before the film opened. However, sending tapes or DVDs to the film critics is also common. At the theater, we would often get an early copy of the film to give to critics who couldn't make it to the press screening. One way to recognize a DVD sent to the press is they often have a "Property of [Studio Name/Film Distributor]" pop up in the film every few minutes. You can see an example of that here: /vehicle_345992-GAZ-14-Chaika-1977.html I have visited the Internet Movie Firearms Database (IMFDb), and they have a "No Bootleg" rule for their website. It might be worth considering such a rule for IMCDb. I think the images from films posted on IMCDb fall under the legal doctrine of "fair use." -- Last edit: 2011-07-26 22:52:45 |
