For the blue car I too believe rjluna2 has it. Placement of V badge would have been where the front fender rust is, so I don't know if it came from the factory with the six or the V8 engine.

Some kind of map can be seen on the door for a service area. Does the film give a place of setting, or is the town purely fictional?

Here is a driver's profile view of the Super 88 Holiday Sedan.
http://cll.hemmings.com/uimage/5276875-600-0.jpg

The (2) points I can find are the length of the trunk area (shorter on the Super 88), and the shape and placement of the rear door gaps above the wheel arch. The Super 88 and the 98 have longer trim extensions from the rear bumper, but these are not visible in the capture. The best thing to do using this capture is to judge the length of the trunk area. Then the 98 will either be confirmed or ruled out.

1957 De Soto Firedome [S-25]
Santo vs el estrangulador (1963)
Electra225 is correct in being uncertain. The key indicator of the Fireflite is the crest that would sit on the upper belt-line moulding between the front door gap and the front wheel opening. Otherwise it would be a Firedome.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/36081480@N08/4469905117/in/pool-desoto

I would be okay in listing it as a Firedome. This is a beautiful capture nonetheless. The angle of ascent aided by the terrain makes this car look like it's ready to move!

1955 Oldsmobile 98 De Luxe Holiday
Santo en el hotel de la muerte (1961)
I think there are some body details evident. Much like the big Buicks (Super and Roadmaster) had different lines than the smaller-bodied Special and Century, there may be a way to tell a 98 from the 88 and Super 88 from what we can see here (I hope!).

I believe you, but the lower body trim began from the windscreen pillar on all Holiday Sedans in 1955, and they were available in the 88, Super 88, and 98 series. 2010-03-29 11:55
1960 Buick LeSabre [4419]
Die Delegation (1970)
I'm in the same boat here, too. No, just a 1998 LeSabre in Santa Fe Red Pearl. 58's are flashy with lots of stainless trim, but 59's are just as spectacular. I have a place in my heart for 55's as well.

Interesting the shade of green. The TV series Lassie was in production at the same time and used Dodge trucks exclusively driven by its Forest Service ranger characters.

I have a brochure of this truck showing sportsmanlike uses such as hauling campers like this one.

Heavily modified. All of the parts of this car can be ordered from a catalogue. There is no way to tell what this car was when it left the factory.

The Manchurian Candidate (1962) Just saw part of the film on US tv this week. There are some background vehicles seen on the street from the vantage point that Sinatra has at the Convention Center.

A scene shows Sinatra and another person getting into and riding inside a 1961 Chevrolet, but the interior shots show a teardrop-shaped side window such as on a late-forties sedanette or Fleetline-like car.

1960 Cadillac Series 62
Where The Boys Are (1960)
It is a 4 door hard top, judging by the door gaps. The one most clearly visible is well behind the windscreen A pillar, so there would need to be a gap ahead of the A pillar for the front door.

1952 Buick Special Riviera [46-R]
Rascal Flatts: Life is a Highway (2006)
This piece of information is useful in many instances. Another way to tell the difference is the arc or curve to each individual grille bar. The 51's have a very gradual curve, while the 52 bars have parts were there is no curve at all, that is they are completely vertical.

Please see the change in my earlier comment from year 2010.
