technically its a "Passenger Vehicle"...unless one watched it being made in the workshop it would be difficult to tie any one vehicle to a particular maker as there are both official and back street producers of the vehicle....either by A Borja.....Armak...celestial...f.g......Hayag...Hataw..Hebrun..LGS...Lippad...Leparos Motors...Nelson..Sarato. no longer referred to as a "jeepney"..there are no longer any jeep related parts in any model, they are now all factory produced, not conversions, using japanese isuzu and Mitsubishi engines. they are gradually being phased out by more modern looking local stretched Hummer lookalikes and stretched toyota van type bodies. |

title is correct..as its a direct copy of the original in the Bovington tank Museum....neil corbould Special Effects ltd built this replica using the original as a blueprint..the tracks,engine,hydraulics are taken from a commercial tracked excavator..probably japanese, the rest is lightweight metal, when the film had finished the tank was offered to the tank Museum so they bought it, and this is where it now resides since 14/1/12...they use it instead of using their real ww1 tank which if damaged, may not be repairable, so they use this one...in 2014, the 100th anniversary of WW1, this replica will be seen all over the place in commemoration events...i hope they state its a replica and not an original tho!!. update..they have just taken delivery of a replica ww1 german A7V tank, built of plywood on a commerciaql catterpillar chassis. -- Last edit: 2013-02-17 16:50:05 |

wrong!!!!! its actually a "Europe Star Classical Roadster" a commercially available 27 megahertz radio control plastic car not quite to 1/6 scale....i have exactly the same item. made in china its full radio control with opening doors, opening bonnet sides with a sound system in place of engine which plays a boom boom beat when operated, all the lights work and can flash in time to the music, one can also plug in an MP3 player via a hole in the dashboard and download ones own music into the vehicle. it has an engine sound like a formula one racing car and a horn sound...in the picture the radiator emblem is not original, when supplied the emblem is a circle with a "Z" in it and its mounted to the radiator by a metal spring which ingeniously is the RC aerial for the car!!! |
