| 1914 Stutz Bearcat The Great White Hope (1970) | The same car, owned by Pacific Auto Rentals, as seen in many other films and TV programs. It was painted white for this film (from red see the entries for "Wings of Eagles", "Green Acres", "My Mother the Car", "Summer Magic", etc) and this finish was kept while filming "Powderkeg", the TV film,-pilot episode for the series "Bearcats!" | 2012-09-09 18:18 | |

| Con la muerte a la espalda (1967) |
The SAR (Search and Rescue) plane above is a Grumman Albatross. The helicopter is a Hughes 300. The small plane I can't identify, but it's not American,Canadian or British. I think it might be Romanian. |

| The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976) |
Don't trust the IMPDB...there are many errors there. There are some very sily mistakes, I fear many of the people who post there have no idea what they're talking about. |

| 1963 Aston Martin DB5 [DP216/1] Goldfinger (1964) |
"Also, remember this was before the spectre of product placement came to haunt the Big Screen..." Not entirely true, I'm sure Aston Martin saw an upside for its appearance...otherwise it wouldn't have done it. Also, note all the Fords in the films, early product placement. |

| 1952 Chrysler M48 A3 'Patton' Goldfinger (1964) | Ft. Knox was/is a large armor installation...so it would have had the maion battle tanks at the time of filming. | 2012-07-02 19:16 | |
| 1951 Willys Jeep M38-A1 Goldfinger (1964) |
Yes, the scenes at Ft. Knox were shot by a second unit....with real US Army vehicles. Note the small details, the tire pressure stencil, antenna wire holds, etc. Compare with the non-authentic CJ3 in front of the UK shot of the phoney Ft. Knox. |
2012-07-02 19:14 | |
| Willys MB 'Jeep' Goldfinger (1964) |
Not 1941...or any WWII Jeep. Postwar civilian model. I believe that scene was filmed in the UK, so itwas not a active duty Army M38A1 as seen in the real Ft. Knox scenes. |

| European Vacation (1985) | Pan Am 747 taking off, and they land in what looks to be a Eastern Air Lines A300. | 2012-05-25 18:54 | |
| Dark Shadows (2012) | There was a 70 Mustang in the film with a odd (probably incorrect) badge on the roof pillar. Anyone have a photo? | 2012-05-25 18:51 | |
| unknown The Simpsons (1989-2013) |
It wasn't..the final Stutz passenger acrs were built in 1934. The car shown is fictional. It has the front and bucket seats of a 1912-16 Bearcat, but it seems to have a back seat which is incorrect. The Bearcat model was the sports car of the range...no back seats. -- Last edit: 2012-05-17 20:38:29 |

| Ford Model T Speedster Conversion Emergency! (1972-1978) | It's a "Speedster" conversion. Some were converted in period (young guys would buy an old touring car and turn it into a early "hot rod"0, others are still being built today since conversion parts are still being made. | 2012-05-17 20:22 | |

| 1929 Ford Model A Custom 'Hot Rod' Bachelor in Paradise (1961) |
Typical home built "hot rod" of the period. The body looks to be a 1929-31 Ford Model A, channelled to fit over the frame. -- Last edit: 2012-04-02 05:28:07 |

| Vendetta dal futuro (1986) |
Helicopters: Top row...Hughes/McDonnell-Douglas 500D Bottom row: Agusta 109, Bell 206 Jet Ranger...I think they want you to think they're the same helicopter. Notice the extra window in the first photo. |

Thanks for your reply. I knew that Ford made Ts in the UK, but it's interesting to see how strong sales were in the early day. |

| Stutz Bearcat The Donna Reed Show (1958-1966) | Juding by the color and location, probably the same car in The Wings of Eagles, My Mother the Car, Green Acres, etc. | 2012-02-18 21:33 | |

| Spinout (1966) |
Likewise, at the beginning of the film, Elvis does the same thing with his Cobra. He's shown sitting in the river in some other car. Probably a fiberglass-bodied "special" of some sort. |

| 1929 Duesenberg J Derham Dual Cowl Phaeton [2136] Spinout (1966) |
Sold for $1.2 million USD in January, 2011. It's has been restored and now has sidepipes exiting the engine compartment. |
2012-01-10 18:05 | |
| 1963 Ford Fairlane Custom Ranch Wagon The Help (2011) | Agree with CougarTim. It's a lower priced (and much more common) Ranch Wagon painted to look like a Squire. | 2011-12-17 18:17 | |
| 1946 Willys Jeep CJ-3A Battle of the Bulge (1965) |
The Heading is wrong...CJ3s were not made in 1946. CJ-3s were introduced in 1948. |

| Window on Main Street (1961-1962) | A George Barris' 27 Model T roadster powered by a Dodge Hemi raodster appeared in one episode. It's one of the first Barris cars to appear on TV. It later won the top prize at the Oakland Roadster Show. | 2011-09-25 19:54 | |
| 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Las Vegas (2003-2008) | According to series star Josh Dummell, he was given the car when the series ended. He's since had it restored. | 2011-09-25 02:10 | |
| The Odessa File (1974) |
An enjoyable film....but I noticed (as seen above) that many of the cars (and the tanks, IIRC in 63 Israel woud have still had Shermans, not late-model Pattons) were later than the late 1963, early 64 timeframe of the film. |
2011-09-18 03:14 | |
| 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray [C3] Corvette Summer (1978) | Tackiest Corvette ever...and that's saying something! | 2011-08-27 21:16 | |
| The Wings of Eagles (1957) |
It's featured in a long action scene. And unlike the photo, it's in color. Judging by its red/black paint scheme (and fairly rare unpainted brass radiator shell), it's probably the same car used in "Summer Magic", "Green Acres" and "My Mother the Car"...later repainted for "The Great White Hope " and "Powderkeg". It also looks to be the same car that was in "Lafayette Escadrille", but being a black and white film, it's hard to say with certainty, alothough that car does seem to have an unpainted brass radiatior shell. -- Last edit: 2011-06-20 06:31:46 |
