DougCL ![]() | the Buff is custom from the ground up based on the characters specification. ive heard that its body is inspired by the ford RS200, everything else is glorious fictional nonsense. i would kill for some wheels that pivot like that. | 2012-01-07 12:15 | |

| 1979 Fiat X1/9 1500 [138AS] Riding Bean (1989) |
icsunonove ![]() | Pardon me but as a former owner of 2 X1/9's- one a 1976 Fiat then years later a 1987 Bertone X1/9, this is NOT an MR2. The MR2 had different side windows than the X1/9's. You can see it clearly if you compare the animated sketch on the "white x1/9" then open the link to the MR2's and you can see what I mean. My orange '76 one was often mistaken for a Porsche 914 and my all white '87 was mistaken for a MR2 or a Fiero by the younger crowd..the older crowd always knew what they were:) p/s another little factoid..at the opening of the hit tc show Dallas, "Lucy" is seen driving an X1/9 at the ranch. -an X1/9 fanatic..Tara |

| 1984 Chrysler New Yorker Riding Bean (1989) |
IRT_BMT_IND ![]() | The animators probably just picked a random American sedan to base the car on. And, you're right, by the looks of the screencaps, this cartoon looks terribly animated. (The car's license plates say "Chicago", not "Illinois"!) -- Last edit: 2006-05-30 05:13:46 |

| Made for Movie Buff Riding Bean (1989) |
antp ![]() | Buff is supposed to be a make in the movie or is it something real? "Made for movie" does not go well with a fake make. I would either put it as "Made for movie" make, or suppose that Buff is a real make with a matching model name (or no model name). But as we did for previous movie, the use of "Made for movie" make is better, I think. |
