Ingo DEHmm, Wikipedia says, that the pick up and the Caddy are quite identical, except the front and the engines, but I've heard from a Golf I-fanatic friend, that there were also some differences in the chassis. The US-version shall be a bit longer, as I remember. I must ask him for more details. 2008-02-29 16:30

Miracle Mile (1988)
Ingo DEOrign USA would be exact. The US-pick up was developed and produced in the USA, before the European Caddy (made in Yugoslavia) was launched. Pick up and Caddy are different, so they were seen as two different models in the VW range/history.

There is no such thing! There was a T/Type (S/Type was only used on the 1979-80 Riviera).

philr CAThe pictures are too small to be sure about te model but I think it is an Electra 4 door hardtop. (The Electra has a chrome moulding on it's rocker panel and a longer front door) I can't see the number of portholes, there are 3 on the LeSabre/Invicta, 4 on the Electra/Electra 225

Miracle Mile (1988)
car nerd USGeez, any wonder why GM is having such troubles in the US? My mom had an 1986 Cadillac Eldorado and I swear you couldn't tell it apart from a these much less expensive Buicks, Olds and Pontiacs aside from body size! Thankfully, GM is now looking at it's European and Australian divisions for a better variety of model styles (still pretty much the same cars underneath).

Yes indeed, that's the rear of a Buick Somerset Regal. Didn't bother to take a look at all the pics before I mouthed off. The alloy wheels on the Buick are from an Olds Cutlass Calais.

They never called them Fairlady's in the USA. In fact, they never called them Nissan's until about 15-20 years after these cars were made.
