1950 Cadillac Series 62
Rain Man (1988)
Victor M USI love a mystery, but we can narrow the options down. First, the car on the menu, enlarged, is a 1952 Series 62 Sedan, but the car in the diner is a 1950 or 1951, distinguished by the round, un-hooded headlight rings. I can also see that it isn't a de Ville, since it's lacking the de Ville script, which would appear on the C pillar. Consequently, it would be either a Series 61 or 62 coupe. 2012-10-26 01:28

1985 Chevrolet C-10 Fleetside
Rain Man (1988)
Neptune USA lone 1985-1986 Chevrolet C-10 Fleetside. It could be a 1987 model, but I doubt it.

The 1988 C/K Pickups were now (at the time of this film) in full production and had officially replaced the Rounded-Line generation.

The last plants online to manufacture Rounded-Lines were Flint, Janesville, and St. Louis Truck Assembly. These three made the 1987 models, while the other plants were busy making the new next-generation 1988 C/K Pickups.

Flint and St. Louis Truck Assembly closed in August of 1987, and production of Crew Cabs, Blazer/Jimmy, and Suburban shifted to Janesville which would hold out until 1991.
