1936 Tempo E 600
Sisulla ja sydämellä (1947)
Alexander DEIt is the slightly older Tempo E 600 (1936-37). The third and final version A 600 (1938-40) can be identified by a front bumper. To attach the bumper the tubular central frame was lengthend and can be seen. The first version V 600 (1935) had a plywood cabin which can be identified by it's flat surfaces.

There was also a two engined four-wheel-drive version T 1200 (1935-36), the experimental forerunner of the G 1200 Kübelwagen.

1939 Fargo
Sisulla ja sydämellä (1947)
Richard of C CAI would vote for the 39 Fargo but do not have one in my photo file to reference. The more inboard placement of the headlights on the front fenders than on the 41 Fargos that I do have photos of make me think 39. 2007-04-11 18:16
1939 Fargo
Sisulla ja sydämellä (1947)
pilou BEMy opinion is that it is a Fargo and not a Dodge or Plymouth because of the globe hood ornament and general shape of the grille.I exclude a Dodge with the ram hood mascot or a DeSoto with the DeSoto hood mascot. What this could be then is a 1939 model , the first year of the new body style.I have searched and found one picture of an Australian Fargo 1939 on the web and as on the 1939 Dodge documents that I have there was a horizontal chrome divider in inversed V shape separating the upper central part of the grille from the lower lateral parts .As with the Dodge 1939 there are no cowl lights ,no hood side logos, and rubber window seals.Having said that one must remain cautious with trucks because they are more often being modified than cars. Also the movie is setted in Finland and there may be particular details from Scandinavian Chrysler assembly plants. To me the position of the headlamps does not seem anormal. So to summarise so far, possibly an earlier Fargo 1 1/2 ton of 1939 with wood gas generator.Good spotting ! 2007-04-11 17:04
1939 Fargo
Sisulla ja sydämellä (1947)
Alexander DEI am not really happy with the Fargo FK 4. A lot of details are wrong on the truck we are looking for:
Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us
- position of the lamps
- no sidelamps
- windscreen seal
- windscreen corners are rounder
- no logo on the side of the hood
- no front ornament
- main grille is interrupted
- (possibly) length of the side vents

It does look a lot like Fargo, also fairly similar to this 1941 Fargo:

But this basic shape was also used by Dodge, Plymouth, GMC and Chrysler. The grille design matches that of Fargo and Plymouth best.

Pilou, have you got any further information on the Fargo trucks. Perhaps it is one of those built during the war.

pilou BE Yes ,Dodge D6 Six Victory 1937 on the 112 inch wheelbase chassis. It was basically a Plymouth available for export, powered by a smaller bore 3.3 litre engine. Pictures of those prewar export models are rare. 2007-04-11 10:06
