1936 Nash 400
Tales from the Hollywood Hills: Natica Jackson (1987)
aggle AUEarly 1936 Series '400' ( introduced in May 1935 ) sometimes referred to as a 1935 '400'. This is a four door 3648 model with side valve 6 cylinder engine. It is missing part of its hood ornament ( bonnet mascot ) as well as a badge near the top of the grille. Bodies were also built for this car in Australia although most were built by Seaman Bodies in the USA. Very few examples of this first series still exist. The attached photo shows the complete hood ornament and Nash grille badge of an Australian built body. This car is right hand drive. http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/5189/000004copy2.png

1940 Packard Convertible Victoria by Darrin [1806]
Tales from the Hollywood Hills: Natica Jackson (1987)
Richard of C CAYes you are correct. I was reading the May 1987 Car Collector and Car Classics magazine and this was the feature car. The car was built in 1939 in Hollywood by Darrin. Sold in 1940 to actor Preston Foster. Foster took the car to Coachcraft Ltd. to have the 1941 front end put on the car. When Darrin shut down his shop in late 1939 the employees headed by Rudy Stoessel started up Coachcraft. 2008-11-15 04:25

No, why should it?
We are here to give the most accurate identification about a vehicle used in a film. This may only be bejond the abilities of the identifiers ... but that is no reason to throw in the towel.

Because in mostcases you cannot see the difference. You would have to look at the paperwork or know the VIN number.

My guess for this one is 1936 Chevrolet Series FB Master Heavy Truck (1 1/2-ton)

garco NLI would say it's 1926 rather than 1936, the 1936 models are rounder...
Or am I mistaken?

You bet they did. Each wheelbase and payload had its series designation. But that would really be beyond the scope of IMCDB.

Tales from the Hollywood Hills: Natica Jackson (1987)
pilou BEFenders are nineteenth series 1941 with the integrated headlights.but the body is an eighteenth series model 1806 body style 700 Convertible Victoria by Darrin produced in 194O.I suspect this is a very late 1940 car that got the new 1941 fenders. It is not a nineteenth series model 1906 ,since those had doors opening in the safe direction and different bodies ( body style 1429).The Packard Darrin was presented as a prototype in 1938 , but real production only started in 1940 the last Darrins being produced in 1942.To summarize : Packard Convertible Victoria by Darrin, 1940 ( eighteenth series model 1806 body style 700) 2006-08-29 12:24

1949 De Soto
Tales from the Hollywood Hills: Natica Jackson (1987)
archi87 FRVery few cars in "An affair to remember", mostly background cars.

About this one, certainly a late 40's, early 50's Chrysler Corporation car. Between 1949 and 1952, I would say. Could be a DeSoto, as DeSoto taxis were rather common.
