G-MANN ![]() | It's definitely D7*7RDV, went through all the other numbers for the second digit on HPI Check and they were all other cars. So they must have used the plate from one of them - so leave the year blank (or just add the first year for this version of the XJ-S) -- Last edit: 2012-08-05 20:30:38 |

dsl ![]() | SKR 871W combination never issued. Car looks like an ordinary 1975+ Popular 1.1 - possibly the same as the other one with a different plate to make it look as if 2 were used for filming (especially if this swimming scene occurs before the other footage??)? | 2012-08-05 14:24
| 1975 Ford Escort Popular 1.1 MkII Where There's a Will (1989) |

| 1976 Porsche 911 Carrera Where There's a Will (1989) |
dsl ![]() | Exaggerated body kit which looks Turbo-ish, but genuine Turbos always had front fogs and headlamp washers, as did most cooking Carrera and SC after abput 77. Various bits are dateable in isolation, eg body colour mirrors 77+, black window trim 76+, white wheel centres 85+. Rear arch vent is wrong shape for Porsche flatnose kit. Does not have 81+ wing indicators. So best estimate is 76 Carrera which has been thoroughly pimped with later detail added. | 2012-08-05 13:57

| Where There's a Will (1989) |
twingoman ![]() | A now virtually unknown one off drama, made by Television South West and starring Patrick Macnee (Avengers) and Amanda Burton (Silent Witness). Not sure if it was broadcast in any other region. It was never released on video at the time, or DVD since, so the pictures are taken from a recording of the original TV broadcast. The reason my family still have a copy of it is because a lot of the outdoor scenes were filmed in our hometown of Tavistock in Devon. -- Last edit: 2012-08-04 23:31:39 |
