1985 GMC K-2500 Sierra Crew Cab Wideside
Steak (2007)
Neptune USYour answer depends on what you’re looking to do with the vehicle. These GM rounded-lines are, in general, still very common, but they are not going to be in factory correct condition.

If you’re looking for a rounded-line (any rounded-line) for work (haul payload), towing, or for off road use, then eBay, Craigslist, or some auto sale website (preferably listing vehicles near to your location) will serve your propose.

Searching for a specific rounded-line is a bit harder, as some versions are rarer than others, and take time to find. Again, likely it will not be in factory correct condition. The vast majority have been modified by their owners in some way.

If you are looking for a rounded-line as a collector (as they have reached collector status), or for a restoration project, try searching classic car websites, or businesses that deal in selling classic collector cars and pickups.

These rounded-line will be more (if not all) factory correct, usually in pristine condition. Naturally these will be even more rare and will command a higher asking price.

If all else fails, driving around and looking for one that is for sale may offer you what you’re looking for. Recently I saw a C-10 Fleetside (close to factory condition) for sale, parked at local auto parts store.

Futaba USIt looks exactly like my car. I own a 1988 Chevy Caprice Estate. They didn't look like this after 1989, and you are right about the second row seatbelts, those were only on the 1989 model. The only difference between mine and the one in this picture is what I think you are called a "C-Pillar", the part between the rear door window and the large back window. Mine has a chrome thing there. Not really sure about that, but everything else looks exactly like mine, so I would say 88 or older Caprice Estate. 2008-04-09 03:16

jettalover USA common practice by automakers is to take a trim level name and years later make into an official model that may or may not have any connection to the original vehicle. The Ranger trim level on the F-150 later became it's own vehicle for '83. Later the Tahoe trim level on Chevy S10 Blazers became the Tahoe model in the mid '90s. Can anybody think of others? 2007-12-23 07:46

julian wrote I agree that it is an 86-88 Chevrolet Caprice Estate - it has the post-85 nose. I believe the wood on the Safari ran up above the door handles like on the Buick Estate. The wood on the Caprice and the Custom Cruiser was under the door handles as seen above. I also think that the C-pilar on the Safari was brushed aluminum while it was body colored on the Caprice.

Yes, you're right about the aluminum C-pillar on the Pontiacs, so it must be a Caprice.
