| 1967 Oldsmobile 98 The Wanderers (1979) |
DoowopBear ![]() | 1967 Olds in a film that takes place in 1963?? The frustrating part is, I was there the night it was filmed and I pointed it out to my friend who was playing one of the main characters in the movie. He said "Nah don't worry about it, they don't miss a thing. They got a guy who tells me how many buttons on my shirt are buttoned from one scene to the next". Well leave it to the experts. Low and behold there we were about a year later at the first screening and the good old 67 Olds is sticking out of the garage door in the background of a critical scene and I'm elbowing my friend Tony in the ribs, saying "I told ya so. | 2012-01-13 10:23

| 1959 Buick LeSabre [4411] The Wanderers (1979) |
58Roadmaster ![]() | I don't see a clear B pillar, but agree that it is a LeSabre. Could still be a two-door hardtop 4437. | 2009-12-18 08:04

| 1963 Chrysler Newport [TC1-L 813] The Wanderers (1979) |
homerthompsonman ![]() | This is a 1963 Newport 4dr Sedan. The key features are: the front bumper (indicates 1963 - 64's are bigger), and the small piece of trim below the rear passenger window (indicates Newport). | 2007-10-16 22:21
| 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air Impala The Wanderers (1979) |
rjluna2 ![]() | The Bel Air Impala 2 door hardtop and convertible are in the same Bel Air series model number. The 4 door hardtop, 4 door sedan, and 4 door station wagon are also in the same series model number grouping despite with station wagon nomenclature. Bottom line, the Bel Air Impala is part of the trim level in 1958 model year. This information came from George H. Dammann of 60 Years of Chevrolet. That goes with the Chevrolet Caprice Classic submodel at the last generation model years. They were offer as base, LS, LTZ at the Caprice Classic model series. |

| 1959 Mercury Monterey [76A] The Wanderers (1979) |
big dave ![]() | I'll say it's a Monterey with those little chrome rings near the tailight. Park Lane looks to have had a long chrome spear there instead. Comments?? | 2007-07-25 04:13
| 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air Impala The Wanderers (1979) |
DynaMike ![]() | That's right Antoine: Impala was a trim level of the Bel Air range. I'll change the 'Impala' to the extr info field. | 2007-07-24 11:46
| 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air Impala The Wanderers (1979) |

| 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air Impala The Wanderers (1979) |
rjluna2 ![]() | The Bel Air Impala only named in 1958 model year offically. However the inscription only contains "Impala" at the front of the rear fender area. 1959 and later model name offically listed as Impala. | 2007-07-23 03:16
| 1948 Chevrolet 3600 The Wanderers (1979) |
Ddey65 ![]() | 1954's also had a two piece cross grille, instead of the ribs it had since 1948. P.S.; 3500's were either "Dubl-Duti" Walk-In Delivery Vans, or trucks based on them: Link to "forum.imcdb.org" So if this is a 3/4 ton, it's the 3600. -- Last edit: 2007-07-23 06:08:23 |

| 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air Impala The Wanderers (1979) |
rjluna2 ![]() | I agree with DynaMike, it is 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air Impala. The hood is probably from lesser model fitted to this car. | 2007-07-22 01:39

| 1963 Chrysler Newport [TC1-L 813] The Wanderers (1979) |
DynaMike ![]() | That's what I was thinking. But the continuous side trim doesn't fit... Therefore it has to be a 1963 Chrysler, and because of the basic trim I'd say it'e a Newport [TC1-L813]. Edit: Sorry, Buc84, I hadn't seen your comment... If it's a New Yorker, the chassis code is [TC3-H833]. -- Last edit: 2007-07-21 23:32:48 |
