| 1968 Renault 4 6cwt Fourgon Return of the Saint (1978-1979) |
Weasel1984 ![]() | "6cwt Fourgon". French wiki seems to say, this grill was introduced in "fourgonnette" one year later than in the "berline" (so for 1969 m.y.), but I can't find any other confirmation and at the wiki I could misunderstood something. |

Moviecarlover ![]() | Roger Moore was the Best Saint. Ian Ogily was good sadly not another series was made. He now in Hollywood. The Jaguar XJS made star after it debut in The New Avengers. Ian is actually a Motorbike freak. He rode a BMW R100 RS. With a tracking device something like Bond had in his Aston Martin. He rode another BMW red colour in a episode but I can't remember which one. He ditch his Jaguar in the last episode & rode off with his motorbike, it was STi 2. Later both were replace by Jensen which few telemovies which The Saint was played by Simon Dutton. | 2010-01-24 10:03

abctelevision ![]() | From the DVD box set booklet, it looks as if there were three different cars used, all of which had slight differences. Looks like it is just the one car pictured here (mainly used in scenes filmed in Britain) but there was also one used in Italy, and another in France. | 2010-01-18 15:03
| 1974 Volkswagen Bus [Typ 2 / T2] Return of the Saint (1978-1979) |
abctelevision ![]() | This is not an Italian-model Volkswagen T2, but rather a British market right-hand drive version. This can be seen from the front number plate, and the fact that the car is right-hand drive. On the DVD commentary, it is explained that the episodes of Return of the Saint filmed in Italy in 1978 (of which this is one) had a collection of support vehicles, including several Volkswagen T2s which went out with the production from their usual base in Britain. This is one of the the crew support vehicles, which I believe also appears in the episode 'Hot Run' with a false Italian number plate (the right hand drive is a giveaway). From what I can from the number-plate, 1973 looks like the correct year, as is this an 'M' registration. | 2010-01-18 14:58
