| 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Saxondale (2006-2009) |
sthor ![]() | The grill is from a 1973 mach1, the stripes from 1971 - 72 mach1 and the gas cap is from a 1971 mach1, 1972 and 1973 mach´s had regular gas caps. So the Mustang is a mismatch of parts from all three years. The color is "Grabber Yellow" (D) available only in 1971. -- Last edit: 2009-08-10 21:33:05 |

| 1972 Plymouth Barracuda Saxondale (2006-2009) |
chally ![]() | Whats with the "SHAKER" decal on the hood. Odd considering it does not have a cutout or a shaker. Still a nice car mind you. I wouldn't kick it out of my garage for dripping oil. |

| Ford Transit Ambulance Wilker Lunar Saxondale (2006-2009) |
Animatronixx ![]() | No, sorry, I meant that Wilker is the make of the body. I´d suggest "Ford Transit Ambulance Wilker Lunar". | 2008-09-04 19:02
| Ford Transit Ambulance Wilker Lunar Saxondale (2006-2009) |
antp ![]() | So we should list that as Wilker make instead of Ford? | 2008-09-04 16:36
| Ford Transit Ambulance Wilker Lunar Saxondale (2006-2009) |
Animatronixx ![]() | Looks like conversion "Wilker Lunar", Ireland (of which "Wilker" is the make and "Lunar" the model name). | 2008-09-04 15:25
| Mercedes-Benz Funeral Coach [W123] Saxondale (2006-2009) |
Animatronixx ![]() | No, it´s definitely no Pollmann body. I´d say it´s rather some British or Irish coachwork. | 2007-12-20 11:29
| 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Saxondale (2006-2009) |
G-MANN ![]() | Exactly, I bet Alan dreamed of having a Jaguar, but all he could afford was a Rover (the poor man's Jaguar). And also by the 90s Rovers had become deeply unfashionable, Alan's fashion-sense is absolutely clueless (remember his "sports-casual" fashion ideas?). Visit the I'm Alan Partridge page to see pictures of the cars he drove: movie_129690-I-m-Alan-Partridge.html Knowing Me, Knowing You is also listed on this site, in one episode he drives a Rover 800 Vitesse "Fastback". -- Last edit: 2007-09-14 12:49:03 |

| 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Saxondale (2006-2009) |
greybear ![]() | In an interview, Steve Coogan - himself a considerable petrol head and a good driver - said that he always thought carefully about the cars his characters had. His aim is to think of the car the character would really want, and them to give them the loser's version of it! Alan Partridge had a Rover 800 and an early Lexus at different times. -- Last edit: 2007-09-14 10:06:45 |

| 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Saxondale (2006-2009) |
wrenchhead ![]() | There were five or six perfomance models of the mustang: Some were 'boss' some were 'mach 1' and some 'shelby'. Dialog is typical movie misinformation. ![]() |

junkman ![]() | It's the other way around. No left-hand-drive vehicles are allowed in Oz. Really strange. And mind you, albeit left-hand-drive cars are perfectly legal to operate in the UK, they command a hefty insurance premium. |

| 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray [C3] Saxondale (2006-2009) |
Shellz ![]() | 1973 Corvette C3 convertible - absolutely beautiful car. Oily bits pretty much original stock but lucious red paint job a bit more recent. Owned by a guy near Southampton. In August 05 I was at a monthly Yank meeting on Hayling Island and he parked his C3 alongside me. It was such a great looking car and overlooking the Solent on a gorgeous sunny evening I took loads of photo's of it. When the production was getting underway, the head of the action vehicle company given the contract to provide all the Saxondale cars told me he needed a red Corvette, did I know of anyone? Remembering the C3 I sent him a few of the photo's, the production designer gave a big thumbs up, and I then had to find the owner! I emailed a pic to everyone I knew on the south coast and fortunately found someone who knew someone who knew the owner, and had a phone number. It was one of the most confusing and also most fun phone calls I'd made for a while. Piccie here from post-Saxondale reunion on Hayling Island in April 06: http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=3327117 |

| 1989 Bedford Rascal Saxondale (2006-2009) |
Sunbar ![]() | The design of the Bedford - Later Vauxhall - Rascal and Midivan was 100% Japanese. I worked on both vehicles for a parts supplier contracted to provide local content parts and all design drawings were in Japanese. The design responsibility was not with GM (IBC Limited in this case). | 2006-09-05 22:36
| 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Saxondale (2006-2009) |
Shellz ![]() | 1970 Dodge Challenger, plum crazy with white vinyl top. Undoubtedly the favourite car on set that day (23 March 06) - both with Coogan and a lot of the production gals. It was sold on Ebay not long afterwards. |

| 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Saxondale (2006-2009) |
Shellz ![]() | Hi, thanks to Salvation for pointing out this site to me. Mach 1 is really just a trim option one up from the regular Fastback version. Main features are the black hood, an upgraded interior package, and the black side stripes + reflective rear stripe. This one has a 351 cid Cleveland 2V engine (5.7 litres) although between episode 1 (shot March 05 IIRC) and episodes 2-7 (shot Feb/March 06) this was upgraded to a new Edelbrock 4V carb, among other upgrades and replacment parts in an effort to renew all the oily bits. Apart from my "new for old" policy, there are no modifications. Shel ![]() |
