From 1947 to 1952 - there were two models of Chevrolet - Special (1500 HJ) and Deluxe (2100 HK) - hence the reason for the first two digits of the model number. Each model is divided in to two sub-series, Styleline (bustleback sedans and coupes) and Fleetline (two and four door fastback). The simple way to pick a DeLuxe from a Special is that the DeLuxe has a chrome strip down the side. 1946 Chevrolets use a different model system. This car is a DeLuxe Styleline convertible coupe - there was no convertible in the Special series. Do we want to use model number (for this car 2134) or style number (this car is 50-1067) to designate chassis for General Motors cars??
