Zitat Any significant damage to a vehicle, particularly falling off a cliff, is liable to result in a large explosion even though real cars rarely explode. This is a subset of Stuff Blowing Up. Evidently, TV cars run on nitroglycerine instead of petrol.

Lateef NOI can't figure it just burst into flames like that. It's not likely at all. 2009-01-14 14:47
Sitting Target (1972) Lateef NOSeriously there are NO car chases in Get Carter, that's why I prefer this one. 2009-01-14 14:44

Lateef NOThis is the only car chase involving this type of car at IMCDb. 2008-10-09 15:02
Sitting Target (1972) Lateef NOI also recorded it from TCM, and it's such a great movie. I can't believe somebody called it a 'cheap version of Get Carter', because this one's a hundred times better! 2008-10-09 15:01

Sitting Target (1972)
Sunbar UK1949 Fordson Thames ET6 and not 500E which was the Thames Trader from 1957.

"March 1957 Launch of Thames Trader truck range. The new Type 500E Thames Trader range of trucks was the most versatile Ford in Britain had ever produced. It had what was known as a forward-control chassis, with a distinctively styled cab.". Official Ford press release.

The picture shown at http://www.fire-engine-photos.com/picture/number4210.asp is therefore not identified correctly as '500E'. Also the 'Firefly body shown is not the same as the main movie vehicle, as the cab is different and the top of the fire appliance is straight rather than curved.

2491tj ENdrawn a blank with this one..looks WW2......yet......dosent match anything...its in Ww2 US livery..has postwar repositioned headlights and a British civillian number plate..that short wheelbase with cargo body and curved front wings dont match up to anything..the rear cargo bed is CCKW...perhaps a postwar "bitsa" rebuild..using?????? perhaps a combination of CCKW/FWD HAR bits? 2008-10-03 01:21

1952 Austin FV1801A 'Champ' ¼ ton 4x4 [WN1]
Sitting Target (1972)
rpcm PTIt's an Austin 4 x 4 Champ. With this reg., it must be an ex-army version ( powered by a Rolls-Royce engine ) that was produced between 1952 and 1956.

It seems that the name Champ was only applied to the civilian ones, so I guess it's better to group this with the others. The chassis reference is [WN1].

Sitting Target (1972) DAF555 SEThey claim that the pictures won´t be removed, I hope that´s accurate. I´ve noticed that the server is down and the pictures are gone sometimes, but they´ve returned so far. That happens on imageshack too, supposedly for maintenance.

I prefere it because it´s faster to operate than imageshack.
