| 1970 Datsun 1200 [B110] Le casse (1971) |
ddgonzal ![]() | Yes, left-hand drive Datsun 1200 sedan. Probably filmed in Greece, given that much of the movie was filmed in Athens plus you can see the Astor hotel. | 2011-04-02 02:37

| 1968 Volvo 144 Le casse (1971) |
zodiac ![]() | How can you tell it's a 1969 Volvo 144? I once had a 1969 142, and I was taught that from 1969 onwards only the B20 engine was available, which was indicated with a small badge on the grill http://www.flickr.com/photos/govert1970/3282955730/in/photostream/ . I'd vote for a 1967 or a 1968 model. | 2011-03-05 11:19

| Leyland Royal Tiger Worldmaster Biamax Le casse (1971) |

| 1959 Triumph Herald Saloon Le casse (1971) |
DynaMike ![]() | The Herald was officially introduced on 22nd of April 1959, so if this is a 950 version then 1959 would be alright. In April 1961 the 1200 was presented. | 2011-02-27 00:01

| 1959 Triumph Herald Saloon Le casse (1971) |

| Büssing unknown Le casse (1971) |
Exiv96 ![]() | You could be right. The visible grille behind the chrome bars show it has an engine in "normal" position, by opposition to Büssing's usual Unterflur system. |

| Apollon Le casse (1971) |
medimanic ![]() | Many of them are now converted, besides there were several and I don't have detailed information for all. By their time in Greece was much easier and more practical to deal with German parts and engines than Japanese, however I wouldn't be surprised to discover the exception.. -- Last edit: 2011-02-26 11:34:25 |

| Apollon Le casse (1971) |
ingo ![]() | Oh, really? I thought, they were powered by Honda- or Mazda-engines. In 1993 on Corfu I've seen still several of them. There was one specific Three-Wheeler-model, which has double round front lamps. It's chromated frame around them has irritated me, because it looked exactly like that of the NSU TT ![]() |

| Apollon Le casse (1971) |
medimanic ![]() | The body is made in Greece and the name is ΑΠΟΛΛΩΝ = APOLLON, no other Greek three-wheeler used those headlights. There were two variants, 12 1200cc engine and 14 1400cc. I'm not sure it was Mazda based. Most had VW or Opel units. | 2011-02-24 22:39

| 1968 Biamax F-530 S Le casse (1971) |
medimanic ![]() | Biamax was using MB chassis from the first production year 1957 until 1961. By that year and on Biamax developed their own chassis for their large buses and coaches and at the same time launched the slightly smaller R series that was one of the first buses woldwide with monocoque body. The F 530 of the main pic has a Greek chassis made by Biamax. | 2011-02-24 21:36

dsl ![]() | Final picture - an advert with interesting list of Holden export territories for reference - on Link to "forum.ejehclubqld.com" identifies Greece. Still a slight problem with tail-lights - does not match the pictures I've found for EJ and EH saloons, but looks like the different style used on EJ estate, about 1963 so an easy alteration for local regulations? | 2011-02-24 14:07

| 1962 Holden Special [EJ] Le casse (1971) |
130rapid ![]() | It could be 1962-1963 Holden [EJ] indeed by characteristic 'falling-down' side slat and 'holdenish' grey. However tail lights don't match for me. ![]() Is it possible Holden used Vauxhall's tail lights for European market? -- Last edit: 2011-02-24 09:33:02 |
