car nerd USDidn't GMC build a double-decker bus in the mid 50's? They were called Scenicruisers, if so I think this is one of those. I remember seeing these around SFO all the time when I was a kid.

This could be an ambulance conversion "amblewagon". The '70 version can be spotted by a wide "stainless" "band" on the edge of the hood.
