| 1961 Fargo 5-Ton Long Chassis The Mercenaries (1968) |
Sunbar ![]() | There was a later 'DODGE' badge the same size and style as the large 'FARGO' http://ccmv.fotopic.net/p29634156.html But looking at the thumbnail I agree that its looking more like 'FARGO' in this movie. Were these actual Fargo trucks built in the UK as well as the Dodge and only the badging changed? |

| 1961 Fargo 5-Ton Long Chassis The Mercenaries (1968) |
vilero ![]() | This british is a Dodge 300but specially in the second thumbnail I'm still thinking that the script in the upper side of the grille is more for Fargo than for Dodge Previous pics of Fargo trucks from Link to "shop.ebay.com" -- Last edit: 2009-09-02 14:48:40 |

| 1961 Fargo 5-Ton Long Chassis The Mercenaries (1968) |
Sunbar ![]() | I think it far more likely that Dodge UK trucks were imported into Jamaica in the 1960s. Most vehicles were UK imports from memory and obviously RHD. edit: The cab seen here is the UK manufactured (Motor Bodies of Coventry) LAD cab and was only on European Dodge/Fargo trucks I believe. Dodge D500 I think. -- Last edit: 2009-09-02 14:18:38 |

| 1961 Fargo 5-Ton Long Chassis The Mercenaries (1968) |
Gag Halfrunt ![]() | That would depend first on where Chrysler made RHD trucks and second on whether Jamaica levied import duty at different rates depending on the country of origin. | 2009-09-02 13:54 | |
| 1961 Fargo 5-Ton Long Chassis The Mercenaries (1968) |
vilero ![]() | Hard to find the match but I think I found it. It's a 1961 Fargo but, what do you think among these four. I would go for the 5-Ton (4th. thumbnail) model with long chassis. Opinions?![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It's RHD. As the movie was filmed in Jamaica (full independence in 1962) this one would be one Canadian made or in Chrysler's Kew (UK) plant?
