Hmm, not sure. It looks quite authentic, but the hyphen on the front plate is higher. This was common only until 1961/62 (because the TÜV-sticker came). Otherwise its back plate is a two-lines "Kuchenblech", as common for Italian cars back then and VW Typ1. For the front plate the position of the hyphen doesn't matter (the ASU-sticker came in 1985).		 2012-05-16 08:02

this was exactly what i thought, the color could be olivdrab or faint grey, but civilians liked this colors, too In Germany we saw these cars in Film we only know from our matchbox Corgi or Dinky toys!
In fact that is one reason to publish on IMCDB, never had the chance to meet other enthusiasts, that could have explained!

I guess the front trim is just an accessory, but the chrome windsreen trim is typical for export versions, so indeed to be listed as 'Made for A' (and maybe even 'Built in Belgium', but I'm not sure about that...). One wiper is missing, as well as the spare wheel door (hence the strange location of the license plate).

Edit: It also might be an Ondine... The extra bar under the license plate has disappeared with the spare wheel door.

taking a second look at it,... guess you are right, cause of instruments ,corner in rear window and shape of backlights, isn´t there a Star under the luggage rack :o
i was irritated, and thought Austrians at that time bought Wartburg either
but even 300 SL in the movie scale 1:24

Hi vilero, pleased you like pics, thank you for step by step set instruction, especially F5 to control change of setting is like wipe in movie itself,
magic , but it should set pics of this size 720 length in the beginning, was a litle tricky cause letterbox + sidepanel on more or less black pics,
this TV guys don´t care for, every rerun different mistake on frame, so thank you again		 2012-05-15 12:57
