marklandynut ![]() | When the 20/25 was built the bodies were not made by Rolls Royce. All they sold was the basic chassis, running gear and a few other bits, and the customer then had to commission a body from a coach builder of their choice. As a result hardy two cars of that era are the same. It is quite possible the original owner of this car specified the split windscreen for his own reasons. | 2010-05-07 23:36

park-ward ![]() | Phantom II #9JS has an unbroken black waistline whereas the stand-in's waistline stops at the front door shut. The characteristic Barker bottom door moulding is painted on the stand-in ! See /vehicle_253794-Rolls-Royce-Phantom-II-9JS-1931.html for comparison. | 2010-03-21 11:58

park-ward ![]() | Red with alu bonnet is chassis #GEN16, a Barker tourer, behind is Twenty #GEN45, a James Young saloon. I think Twenty #GTM38 with H.J.Mulliner Weymann saloon is in the top left-hand corner - I can see a visor below the short peak (I don't think it is #GKM28 which had a long peak). -- Last edit: 2012-02-25 19:09:16 |
