| 1970 Triumph 2000 Mk2 Doctor Who (1963-1989) |
G-MANN ![]() | You don't really rewatch the whole thing, you fast-forward through it (a program like PowerDVD lets you do it up to 32x) I sort of understood why you did it with Ashes to Ashes, because it was when it was first being shown and you didn't want someone to beat you to it (although since you're supposed to be in charge here, I don't know why you didn't just announce you were going to do it and forbid anyone else to try to without permission) Although I suppose you can't do this if you're watching it via a streaming site, what I'd do is write down the times to take captures from later. I couldn't watch something properly if I kept stopping to make captures, but then I'm very thorough with my work. -- Last edit: 2013-05-18 18:57:32 |

| 1967 Ford Zodiac MkIV [3012E] Doctor Who (1963-1989) |
dsl ![]() | Plate genuine London issue April-July 67. It is also an early Zodiac for trim (or lack of) so 67 looks OK. | 2013-05-17 22:25

| 1963 Land-Rover 109'' Series II Doctor Who (1963-1989) |
dsl ![]() | ^^ Plate is 7 character in format ABC over 123A. Military plates are 6 character and as far as I know when done in upright format (usually on Landie front wings) appear as 12 over AB over 12 (ie 3 lines of 2 characters). I'd also guess this is a civilian Landie for cream top and wheels - I think military Landies always have body colour wheels and all-over livery. | 2013-05-17 02:03

| Unknown Doctor Who (1963-1989) |
dsl ![]() | If it's an ADO16, it is a 4 door saloon (not 2 door or estate) for vertical B-pillar and probably a 68+ Mk2 colour. I can see why ADO16 suggestion made and it looks pretty good except that I'd expect rear quarterlight to be visible, and front quarterlight looks a smidge too far back - compare eg http://www.bfm.nu/no6.jpg . It's not BMC 1800 ADO17 or Maxi as these did not have front quarterlights. No other ideas on this view - any other views? | 2013-05-17 00:30
| 1980 Land-Rover Range Rover Series I Doctor Who (1963-1989) |
G-MANN ![]() | However with Army Land-Rovers, because loads of them appear during the serials featuring UNIT, they really ought to be grouped together by model. With this one /vehicle_595764-Land-Rover-109---Series-II.html I'll wait until you've added some more pics but unless it's definitely an older Series II instead of a Series IIa it should be regrouped with this /vehicle_482468-Land-Rover-109---Series-IIa-1962.html | 2013-05-17 00:27
| 1970 Triumph 2000 Mk2 Doctor Who (1963-1989) |
G-MANN ![]() | I mean, maybe it was quite likely that it would only appear in this episode but for obvious reasons it's better to wait til you've seen the whole thing before making captures. -- Last edit: 2013-05-17 00:20:37 |

| 1980 Land-Rover Range Rover Series I Doctor Who (1963-1989) |
Sandie ![]() | Lots of little things. From what is visible here the most noticable are different bumpers (1980+), different badging on the back (1980+) and vinyl on the D pillar (1974+). There's probably a few things I've missed on account of working off the top of my head. |

Sandie ![]() | Most people (i.e. the accepted practice on the site) like to keep cars of different years apart and this one is ten years newer than the other one. So I can see why kooshmeister (I guess it is him who has done this) would have separated them. | 2013-05-16 23:57

G-MANN ![]() | I already listed this here: /vehicle_458413-Land-Rover-Range-Rover-1970.html I think for TV series with many episodes, it's better to regroup 1 and 2 star vehicles (although this is a novelty location, it's probably just a random parked car) | 2013-05-16 23:40

| 1970 Land-Rover Range Rover Series I Doctor Who (1963-1989) |
Kooshmeister ![]() | According to the commentary on the DVD of "The Green Death," the producer was a huge fan of Land Rovers and Range Rovers, and was prone to insisting they be used a lot, especially in episodes with UNIT. Apparently, he had this Range Rover specially delivered to be the Global Chemicals company car in the serial. | 2013-05-06 14:24

Lateef ![]() | Well, okay. I still think the Volvo 144 is visible enough - seen in two different takes and having enough details visible to pinpoint the exact year (but I'm probably alone with this opinion). | 2013-04-04 00:00
