Pomtidom ![]() | It don't think it's a Moto Guzzi because it has a girder style fork and the front brake a the left hand side. I rather think it's a Gilera Saturno 500 | 2012-07-24 22:25

bob dieck ![]() | The main differences between 2000 and 2600 were different front and tail and the engine. The 2000 engine was an evolution from 1900 (iron block) whilst 2600 introduced an aluminium block. The 2000 has a shortened and insucessful career in Italy and the engine blocks were sent to Brazil where the car was produced by FNM from 1960 to 1968 (exactly as the 2000), then it was upgraded to 2150 with a flat hood and finally in 1974 it grew to 2300 with a totally new bodywork, resembling the Alfetta. You may look at: http://world-viewer.com/alfa-romeo-2600-berlina.html The brazilian production may be interesting to get a look. Note that the car was renamed FNM-JK from 1960 to 1963. Then a revolution set back to FNM 2000. FNM-JK, look the badge: Link to "www.google.com.br" The 2150; Link to "www.google.com.br" the last in the 2000 form; Link to "www.google.com.br" and one of the 2300: Link to "www.google.com.br" |

electra225 ![]() | Side trim indicates Fiat 1400 B. As the grille is a 1400 A one, I strongly think this 1400 B was fitted with a new grille as since 1950 single central became illegal in Italy, and you could choose to mantain it inoperating or to eliminate it. | 2012-07-20 15:18

electra225 ![]() | Solid black and dark blue were even available on the otherwise two-toned 1959 Fiat 1800, but this one is impossible to say if has got the slightly larger 1961 (1800 B) windshield wipers (the only outside difference between a 1800 and a 1800 B, Weasel1984). It looks most a '59 in dark blue (code 456) or in black (code 601). -- Last edit: 2012-07-20 15:11:45 |

marklandynut ![]() | I think the wheelbase is an optical illusion. I think the car is further away than it appears at first glance. I would have said the wheelbase of the converible is closer to the Fiat(?) Estate/Station wagon in front of it than to the Fiat in the foreground. This means it still could be an MGA, but I'm not sure the front wings are quite right for that. | 2010-05-18 00:24

Weasel1984 ![]() | Ok, according to the link can be French, it was something in a CKD style if I understand correct. Here as I wrote can be, but generally I wouldn't agree with that. Everywhere in catalogs etc., the licence cars which are made under different makes have flags of country in which they are produced. Even on the site we list some of them in such way - another French example (though not 'licence') can be Unic - (some of them are identical with Fiats) and thousands of cars from the former eastern block. I think such info is more accurate, better understandable and more interesting. Of course it doesn't mean that I will change any flags here. -- Last edit: 2007-09-03 22:49:02 |

rpcm ![]() | About the rear end, I think just one different detail makes it seem strange: the traditional square-shaped Italian numberplate in a car that usually has a rectangular one. The rear lights can be those of a 1959+ 1600 MkI that has separated indicators, giving a certain feeling of strangeness from this distance. Looking closely, it seems to be the filler cap on the left of the right rear light ( where the MG A has it ). | 2007-09-02 00:40
