rpcm PTAlthough the insert shows a 220, the car on the main pic is a 220 S or SE ( two horizontal chrome strips on each side of the front grille and chrome rings on the wheels ). 2007-07-06 19:58

Tönz DEEntre-temps je pense même qu'il faut la lister comme "1957 Ford Versailles", ainsi que dans cette brochure hollandaise, cette boite d'allumettes belge et ce manuel allemand:

pilou BEIt is a 1957 Simca Versailles. In Belgium too , as in the Netherlands and in Germany, the 1955-1957 Versailles and the 1958 Beaulieu have continued to be distributed by the Ford dealership ( here Ford Motor Company Belgium) untill mid 1958. Reason was probably to ensure a smooth changeover with earlier Ford customers and to allow the Simca dealers sufficient time for tooling and adapting to the V8 mechanics.. Publicity referred either to the Versailles or to the Beaulieu as " A Simca Product" or as " Simca Versailles" or " Simca Beaulieu" ackowledging the Simca label. In the Netherlands the cars were sometimes called " Ford-Simca" .The Trianon, Régence,Chambord and Marly were also listed but their sales here were much more confidential. 2006-09-12 11:14

Tönz DESome sources say that in the Netherlands and Germany the Vedette was still sold under the Ford label until 1958. Afterwards the versions Beaulieu, Chambord, Présidence and Marly appeared. My classic car catalogue lists her as Simca right from 1954, but says nothing about trim variants. Anyway, I wouldn't suppose the Vedette was very common on the Autobahn. Maybe someone knows better. 2006-09-12 03:53

archi87 FRIt looks like a Borgward Hansa 1500, and I know Borgward made a Sport-Cabriolet version of the Hansa, but I can't find any picture of one. So it's just a guess.
