chris40 ENI can't find any evidence for Holland, although it seems quite probable; [quote from Fordtranscontinental.nl] 'In the years after the 2 nd worldwar a variaty of US, UK and German models were assembled.'
Certainly something similar was built in the USA, Canada and Australia, but not to the best of my knowledge in Britain where production of the mechanically similar forward-control 7V Fordson Thames had priority.

Stahlnetz - Verbrannte Spuren (1960)
DynaMike NLPas de problème! It's a pity it's not that easy... Nice to have learned that this Ford model was built in France AND in Germany. Was it built in other countries as well? Maybe even in Holland? 2008-02-06 20:45

... I was thinking of the French Dinky Toy Ford forward-control truck; I once had the Grands Moulins de Paris version ... :D

Ingo DEThe plate is from the first series in 1956, a bit modified for the movie (orignally PLÖ for Plön). 2008-02-06 19:01
1948 Ford V3000 S [G328]
Stahlnetz - Verbrannte Spuren (1960)
Alexander DEIt is a Ford V3000S [G328]. The larger lights make it a post-war (1948) version, which was later renamed 'Rhein' (V8 cylinder) or 'Ruhr' (4 cylinder). The new design arrived in 1951. 2008-02-05 23:57

DynaMike NLOK, it's just because I knew this front only as French Fords. 2008-02-05 22:49
1948 Ford V3000 S [G328]
Stahlnetz - Verbrannte Spuren (1960)
chris40 ENGerman, surely. Why would a movie made in Hamburg use a French Ford? And didn't Poissy favour split windscreens at the time? 2008-02-05 22:47
1950 Volkswagen Lieferwagen [Typ 2 / T1]
Stahlnetz - Verbrannte Spuren (1960)
rpcm PTOther details are, indeed, difficult to understand to date it more precisely. This version was called Kastenwagen. 2008-02-05 22:46

Edit: I wonder if these were called 'Pick-up' or 'Pritschenwagen'?

Period price-lists called it "Pritschenwagen Pick up".

1953 Volkswagen Pick-up Pritschenwagen [Typ 2 / T1]
Stahlnetz - Verbrannte Spuren (1960)
rpcm PTProduction of the Pritschenwagen Pick up started in August 1952. This one could have the domed rear lights introduced in March 1953, but I'm not sure. Nevertheless, it has the first type of gate panels ( they were changed in November ), so I think it can be dated as a 1953 Pick up. 2008-02-05 22:38
1953 Volkswagen Pick-up Pritschenwagen [Typ 2 / T1]
Stahlnetz - Verbrannte Spuren (1960)
DynaMike NLVery early one (no rear bumper). The Pick-up was introduced in august 1952.

Edit: I wonder if these were called 'Pick-up' or 'Pritschenwagen'?

1960 BMW 700 Limousine
Stahlnetz - Verbrannte Spuren (1960)

1956 Volkswagen Limousine Standard [Typ 1]
Stahlnetz - Verbrannte Spuren (1960)
rpcm PTThe oval window combined with these rear lights and the twin exhaust pipes identify a 1956 or 1957 model. Although it seems to have the side chrome trim, it looks like it doesn't have neither chrome bumpers, nor chrome hubcaps, nor the chrome trim in the window seals. So I would say it's a Standard trim car. 2008-02-05 22:23
