1955 Ford Taunus 15M Cabriolet 4-Sitzer by Karl Deutsch [G4BAC]
Edgar Wallace - Der Frosch mit der Maske (1959)
JCFS DEIt is definitely a Taunus 15m Cabriolet (G4BAC), 4-seats, 1955-57. It replaces in 1955 the 12m Cabriolet, which has been built 1953-55.
The door handle and the position of handle for the triangle-window confirm this. There have been a few Cabriolets made for the police. May be this is one of it. The colour might be dark green, the blue lamp and the additional flasher lamps (from Mercedes 180 and 190) show some evidence.

Edgar Wallace - Der Frosch mit der Maske (1959)
fortengo HUIndeed, it has the restyled door handle that appeared first in the 1955 model year.
Having looked at the rear light area more closely, I’d still say that this car is a 15M, or - possibly - a 1957+ 12M. The lower part of the bezel seems to be slightly protruding, as on the 15M:
http://www.ford-oldtimer-ersatzteile-bisseling.de/kos/WNetz?art=File.show&id=969&viewid=1.
I admit that also the last version of the ’Weltkugel’ 12M comes close:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:MHV_Ford_Taunus_G13_02.jpg
G13 models built before the second facelift had larger rear light case, which would look somewhat thicker and different in shape I think.

rpcm a écrit I'm not sure it has the chrome strips below the side windows that would confirm it's a 15M Cabriolet de Luxe [G4B]

Some G4B Cabriolets were built in standard trim:

DynaMike NLI agree this looks like a Hotchkiss, and at least the name seems to be English ;) Model name will be something like PL 25 or so, but Jean-Marc Sixcyl will know for sure. 2008-08-28 23:46

Edgar Wallace - Der Frosch mit der Maske (1959)
Sunbar UKDefinitely not a '53 Taunus 12M cabriolet as the door handle is completely different in design.

The picture shows the push button below the grip. The '53 Taunus 12M cabriolet has a thicker handle without any bulge below the grip.

rpcm PTI'm not sure it has the chrome strips below the side windows that would confirm it's a 15M Cabriolet de Luxe [G4B], nevertheless the 12M Cabriolet [G13] only appeared in 1953. German sites refer to it as Cabriolet.

pilou BEAgree , it is an extended limousine based on a 1957 Pontiac Super Chief 4 door sedan ( series 27).It has the Super Chief script on the front fenders. It is very unusual to see an extended body on late 50's Pontiacs. 2008-08-28 09:57

Sunbar UKNot a Ford Consul MkII as there is no separate key cylinder under the door handle, there looks to be no kicked-up swage line on the rear wing. I think also the shape of the rear-light area is wrong. 2008-08-27 22:22

Edgar Wallace - Der Frosch mit der Maske (1959)
Ingo DEI'm thinking more about a (faked police-) Ford Taunus 12 M Cabriolet [G13] (made by Deutsch)

This scene is surely made in Northern Germany, north of the river Elbe (as the most of the old Edgar-Wallace-movies).

EDIT: Denmark, not Northern Germany. Anyways, the building's style is very similar, different than just South of Hamburg.
