La provinciale (1953)		 john from Staffs ENYou all appear to have missed my point, which is that Lancia did not make any left hand drive cars until about 1956, it is therefore unlikely that the car in the picture is anything other than a Lancia. The general design of the rear number plate also looks Italian, not English.

So it's a 1938 Lancia Aprilia Lusso Berlina, coachwork by Farina, imho.

I know my suggestion isn't a perfect match, but there are at least some resemblences. (doors, shape of the coupe)
