regency98us ![]() | My friend was recently in Florida at a classic car show, and this very car was there. It is un-restored and original as it was on I Love Lucy, and has photographs and information from the show on display as well. He was so excited to see this original car and it was great that they saved it as a memento of this episode. | 2012-01-31 00:28

chicomarx ![]() | According to this: http://money.cnn.com/2004/01/16/pf/autos/scottsdale/index.htm This car was on auction in 2004, but the colors would have to be reversed. ![]() ![]() "A 1955 Pontiac Star Chief convertible used in several episodes of the show "I Love Lucy" will be auctioned by Barrett-Jackson. In the show, the car belonged to Ricky Ricardo (Desi Arnaz), who used it to give driving lessons to his wife, Lucy (Lucille Ball, for those of you only recently emerging from a lifetime spent in a very deep cave). The car later performed on-camera in an episode that saw the Ricardos and their neighbors, the Mertzes -- extra points if you know who played them -- drive cross-country to California." 62imperial ![]() | I've seen a color photo taken on the set that shows it was definitely two-tone light and dark green. A white car would probably have been too bright for the way they were filming in black and white (even the appliances in the Ricardos' kitchen were painted light blue rather than white). | 2009-09-22 07:30

| 1929 Harley-Davidson Model DL I Love Lucy (1951-1957) |
tv boy ![]() | Episode 5.4, "Ricky Sells the Car," is about how Ricky chooses to sell the Pontiac he, Lucy, Fred and Ethel used to drive to California. This leaves Fred and Ethel thinking they're stranded so Fred buys this motorcycle. They show it off briefly before wrecking it off camera. I don't know the year or model but a Lucy fansite says it's a Harley. And it was already old when this episode first aired in the Fall of 1955. |

tv boy ![]() | Red & white? No kidding. Personally I always thought the "light" color looked a little too dark to be white, but then again GM used a lot of off-white, ivory shades in those days for their "white" cars and trucks. | 2009-05-25 16:41
