archi87 ![]() | To tell you the truth, I was wondering too of it was not a 1946-47 Hudson… Oh, and the car on the right is a 1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan ![]() |

| 1949 Mercury White Heat (1949) |
junkman ![]() | The car on the left is a 1949 Mercury. And just to annoy everybody, I think the black car is a Hudson. -- Last edit: 2006-11-29 14:54:14 |

| 1949 Mercury White Heat (1949) |
antp ![]() | So what is the car on the left, which is the one to be identified ? | 2006-11-28 20:55
| 1949 Mercury White Heat (1949) |
archi87 ![]() | Frankly, I agree with fintail. The windows seem to me too large for a Plymouth. Beside, the last pillar is too straight for a Chrysler Corp. cars of these years. |

| 1949 Mercury White Heat (1949) |
Firebird86 ![]() | Pilou: Ive never doubted your ability to identify practically anything, but I have call you on this one. This is a 1949 Mercury, link is to compare front grillwork http://www.chicagoclassiccars.com/inventory_show.asp?stknum=PC179 | 2006-11-27 00:38
| 1949 Mercury White Heat (1949) |
fintail ![]() | Maybe I need a better monitor...to me the windows look out of proportion/too tall compared to a Plymouth, and the rear quarter window looks level to the window on the door. Also, didn't the Plymouth have a forward slanted C-pillar? | 2006-11-27 00:15
| 1949 Mercury White Heat (1949) |
pilou ![]() | My view here is that this is a Plymouth P-15 , 1946-48, because the upper line of the rear three quarter window is lower than the upper line of the central rear window. On 1946-1948 Ford Fordor Sedans upper lines of rear three quarter windows were as high as the central rear window. | 2006-11-26 20:42
