1924 Austin 12 hp Tourer
Bright Young Things (2003)
sixteensix ENYes, this is an Austin 12/4 open tourer (Probably a Clifton) but is more likely to be around 1927 than 1924 (It has Lucas headlamps, the earlier cars had CAV headlights).
Cheers.

1930 Rolls-Royce 20/25 h.p.
Bright Young Things (2003)
park-ward FRThis is a 1933 20/25 chassis #GBA32 with James Young saloon body. It also featured in ‘Appointment with Death’ made in 1987 with Peter Ustinov and Lauren Bacall. Even if the badge was black after April 1933, owners could still order red badges, for example GUB6 in 1934. The decision to switch from black to red was taken by RR in December 1930 for the Phantom II, the red ones being allocated to the 20/25. When Royce died, the opportunity was taken to use black as a tribute but the red badge stocks were used up on the 20/25 after his death. (BTW all lhd Phantom II (1931-1932) had black badges). 2009-09-03 21:17

Talbot London 14/45 Brooklands Replica 3 litre '105'
Bright Young Things (2003)
pilou BEDo not delete this one too quickly. It is a car of historical interest ,a British Talbot London 14/45 Brooklands Replica 3 litre " 105" of 1931.It is based on the 3 litre Talbot " 105" which came second in its class in the 1931 handicap Double -Twelve hours race at Brooklands ( night raccing was naot allowed at Brooklands) driven by B. Lewis and J.Hindmarsh. The Lewis /Hindmarsh car averaged more than 77 mph.Should be classified under the Talbot London make.We will have to carefully re-classify english and french Talbots on this site. 2006-09-21 17:03
