DynaMike ![]() | Wrong Stop and Go sign. In Holland only the word Stop was used, and although 'Ga' is the correct translation of 'Go' (as imperative), we had only a green square... Also strange to see that the sign Ga gives way to the traffic coming from the left while the bikers coming from the right are still crossing the road. | 2012-05-16 14:38

| unknown Foreign Correspondent (1940) |
DynaMike ![]() | This picture pretends to be in Amsterdam ("Centraal Station - De Ruyterkade"), and although the trams look pretty much like Amsterdam trams ('De Blauwe - the blue ones, as in use from 1929 till 1968, built by Werkspoor and the trailers built by Beynes), this must be fake. The roofs are clearly different, line 9 only got the blue ones in 1952, and number 398 was a motorized tram, not a trailer. Also the architecture, the street light and the electricity pole are rather unlikely to be in Amsterdam. So no pre-war footage. http://www.amsterdamsetrams.nl/materieelbeschrijvingen/05materieel.htm -- Last edit: 2012-05-16 14:16:39 |

juergensmuda ![]() | Sorry, no such reg.-number found in the files for any Derby-Bentley. It will probably only used during the filming or was changed only for a short period. Officially, there wa never any Derby-bentley registered long enough with this number that the reg found it's way into the books or worksfiles -- Last edit: 2006-04-16 07:29:33 |

junkman ![]() | The car does have a one-piece windscreen. What appears to be a divider is in fact a rod mounted inside to which the rear view mirror is attached. The coachwork is most likely by Park Ward on a 1936 Bentley Derby Chassis. | 2006-04-04 11:45
