Gag Halfrunt ![]() | But the film was made in Canada. Perhaps the made for MEX was added to all Ford Topaz entries in a batch correction. As I said earlier, perhaps this car is just a Mercury Topaz with a replacement grille. | 2011-09-05 20:11

CRAFT372 ![]() | This car looks freaking awesome and it's a real shame that it has not bin used in any other movie then this and it was not even used that much in the movie I expected that this car was going to play a bigger part in the movie specealy because it is supose to be a super spy car or something like it but we only see it in the back ground at the workshop and Cody arriving at the harbor in it comeone movie I want to see this baby in real action like in a car chase or something like but enough about that i just found and artikel about this car on this website http://www.motherearthnews.com/Green-Transportation/1979-09-01/Silver-Volt.aspx and acording to the website the car is from about 1979 or 1980 -- Last edit: 2011-08-18 21:48:45 |

Topazmercury ![]() | clearly a topaz (i own 16) but you can tell its been tampered with #1.the chrome trim on the rear c pillar is brighter than the rest of the trim on the car, #2.the grille can be switched with 2 screws so whoever owned the car from its production date could have switched the grille, #3.if you look closely at the chrome center caps on the rims "where are the bolts" 2 generation 1988-1991 topazs most of the time came with steel rims with center caps and trim rings, steel rims with wheelcovers and polycast rims. topazs and tempos with the trim rigs and centercaps came with long chrome lug nuts on the wheels and steel rims with wheelcovers came with the normal lug nuts, so its so easy to se that over the cars life it's had parts swaped out from a tempo. | 2009-11-09 02:59

benny ![]() | I have seen this movie. This car was used in the driving school scene. You can se very well the Ford blue oval on the front grille, on the only wheelcovers that it had, and on the rear, near the badge "Topaz L". I googled for curiosity "Ford Topaz", and I discovered that it existed in Mexico: was a Ford-rebadged Mercury Topaz! ![]() Link to "www.google.it" Well, maybe this one was only a Mercury with Ford badge... ![]() By the way, in this scene were seen in background two Jaguar XJ (XJ40 and X300) and a grey Mercedes-Benz W116. -- Last edit: 2007-02-08 18:37:48 |

| 1989 Ford Topaz Agent Cody Banks (2003) | Explorer4x4 | Topaz had: L (as proved, and L was the base model sedan) GS (mid-class) GS-AWD (all wheel drive mid-class) LS (luxury) LS-AWD (all wheel drive, luxury) LTS (sport) XR5 (sport) This is a second generation (pre-facelifted, 1988-1991) Mercury Topaz L. The trim and front end prove its a second generation, the rims prove it is a base model L and the C-pillar prove its a Mercury Topaz. |

| 1989 Ford Topaz Agent Cody Banks (2003) | Explorer4x4 | YES it did. Ug, this is getting quite old you know. For one fact, here is a Mercury Topaz L base model. And then on TempoTopaz.com they also list Topaz L models.![]() Whats the letter by the Topaz badge. Tell me. ![]() From 1984 to 1992 Ford offered 'L' badged Tempos and Topaz' as the base model, with absolutely no fancy things. Just a stripped down model, sold mainly as commercial cars, such as DRIVING SCHOOL CARS. -- Last edit: 2007-02-01 19:29:25 |

moparguy1973 ![]() | I am not really big into the early 80s Mopars, but I could definitely buy the argument that it's a custom Mopar. Could be a Challenger/Sapporo (this one is most likely), Charger, Omni 024, or Plymouth Horizon TC3...in is definitely not a Delorean. | 2006-12-30 06:26

There were five trim levels that consisted of the XLS, XLT, NBX Edition, Eddie Bauer Edition and Limited Edition. (Arranged in order of price range from least expensive to most expensive) ![]() |

dwc43 ![]() | There's one thing about it, it aint a Dodge Charger or any other type of Dodge. After staring at it for a while I think it's the Challenger/Sapporo Mitsubishi with some sort of nose added on to it. | 1989 Ford Topaz Agent Cody Banks (2003) | Explorer4x4 | The abse Tempo model was S, followed by mid-class GS mid-class model, the LS model was the luxury model and the XR5/LTZ were the sport models.
