If the thumbs are the 1972 Bandama Rally, the story is fairly surreal - there were no finishers http://pcallais.free.fr/rallyeretro/bandama72.html . He loves to relive the story when they attempted to tow the somewhat large caravan with the family Hillman Imp (rather than the larger car they also owned). They made it two miles down the A1. |
