| 1912 Pic-Pic 18 HP Coupé Chauffeur Miroir (1947) |
DynaMike ![]() | It looks a bit similar (though not identical) to the Pic-Pic in the Musée Nationale de l'Automobile in Mulhouse: http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2173571660027942579lmbocR described as 18 HP Coupé Chauffeur, 1911. | 2008-10-13 12:31

| 1912 Pic-Pic 18 HP Coupé Chauffeur Miroir (1947) |
DynaMike ![]() | Very nice, NZCarnerd! It came to my mind that this might be a Pic-Pic, though I couldn't find matching radiator shapes. Better known are the Pic-Pics with V-shaped radiator from the 20s. But I'd say it's not a Landaulette, since the rear of the roof cannot be folded down. Rather Berline de Voyage? Edit: Cf. | 1912 Pic-Pic 18 HP Coupé Chauffeur Miroir (1947) |
nzcarnerd ![]() | I received this from the Surrey Vintage Vehicle Society who have a very good identification page. "The car in the photo is a cca 1912 Pic-Pic Landaulette. The car was made by SA Piccard & Pictet et Cie of Switzerland and had been initially marketed by Société d’Automobiles, Geneva (S.A.G.) to about 1910. Piccard & Pictet initially made Hispano Suiza under licence. After 1910 the car was known as Pic-Pic and the very first car was made for the official visit of Emperor Wilhelm II made to review the Swiss Army in 1912. It had a Landaulette body by Leon Dufor. Because of the quality of their cars, Pic-Pic subsequently became known as the Rolls Royce of Switzerland." As you can see that PL badge actually is PP! |

| 1904 De Dion-Bouton unknown Miroir (1947) |
nzcarnerd ![]() | I am sure this is a De Dion-Bouton from before 1907. More likely 1904-5. There were many different models but by about 1907 they had adopted a more conventional radiator. http://www.dedionboutonclub.co.uk/gallery.html | 2008-10-08 11:08

nzcarnerd ![]() | Can you get a slightly closer look at the radiator to determine what the letters of that badge in the middle are? The style of radiator looks like Minerva but the badges don't look right. No doubt there were several other makes which copied the Minerva style. | 2008-10-06 10:10

nzcarnerd ![]() | If this one is a Renault it is quite early as it has the radiator hanging down the front whereas by about 1905 the radiator was up behind the motor. I suspect it might be a DeDion-Bouton. | 2008-10-06 09:59
