I'm checking all the entries made on this Olsen-banden series, because I saw also mistakes I've made on Olsen-banden (1969) with wrong poster. I've corrected it too.. I was a little to diffuse about the term Personbil but it is used officially in the same manner here, describing cars that are not Varebil (Van or rebuilt with cargo room or bigger Lastebil (over 3,5 tons) or buses. See for instance: https://www.facebook.com/volvocarsno?v=wall&viewas=0 or http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personbil It gets worse: You can also use Personbil to describe the sedan http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sedan_(bil) (The sketch doesn't match the text) compared to Stasjonsvogn http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stasjonsvogn , Kombi http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kombi_(bil) or other variants. See listing of car types in this ad (bottom line): http://atbbil.stryneelva.com/onskes_kjopt.php On this basis I would have named the 96's Personbil (if the 96 needs any more description) but Sedan is the common term on this site. "Limousine" are named cars, which aren't Estates or Cabriolets, even divided in "Stufenheck-Limousine" (Sedan) and "Schrägheck-Limousine" (Hatchback plus few odd exceptions as the Lancia Beta and the early Fiat 127 and VW Passat. The have a Schrägheck, but aren't Hatchbacks). The common German term for Estates/Wagon is "Kombi". Often people, who are used to drive VW's say also "Variant" -to non-VW's, too-, same with longtime Opel-owners, who say "Caravan" to any Estate. The term Convertible is unknown, we say "Cabriolet" or "Cabrio". The term "Kabriolett" is outdated since the early 50ies.	2012-07-15 13:24

When the V4 came it was sold in parallel with the oilburner for a couple of years, they therefore marketed the V4 version of both 96 and 95 as V4 during this period. Later they reverted to 96 and 95. The badge remained. @ingo: Yes by all means Sedan is a well known term for a two or four door Personbil (PKW in German ) but not commonly used for the variants that are only made as sedan, such as Typ 1 or the 96 here. -- Last edit: 2012-07-15 10:01:32	2012-07-15 02:27

The latter are no visible changes, so no "Made for.." here.... In Sweden laminated frontscreens were mandatory, headrests and a right mirror, too, but these parts didn't have the "made for S" code. Maybe because they have already a code, for extra options? Otherwise: the 1974+ headlamp washer has a "made for S" code, but was available for extra charge in other countries, too (it even appears in the UK-only-brochures - VW has totally ignored the fact, that this system cannot be mounted in the RHD-version) Oh, were sunshields with make up-mirror forbidden in Sweden? The mirror-less version (originally only for the basic trim line) has a "made for S"-code...	2012-07-07 00:09

1968 Volkswagen Varebil [Typ 2 / T2] Olsen-banden og Dynamitt-Harry (1970)	ingo	@tore-40: sometimes the irritating rule is used, that vehicles got the "made for ..." tag just for the reason, that there's annother name on the sales brochures. And for provoking a nitpicking-mud(flap)fight: mudflaps were mandatory in Norway, and in Sweden, too - but (at least at Volkswagen) they didn't belong to the factory "made for ..." parts! They didn't have the code for that. Maybe due the reason, that in Sweden (I don't know about Norway) the cars had unique, bigger mudflaps - which were mounted by the importer or the local dealer, but not in the factory, althouh the have the VW-logo on, so were sold officially by Volkswagen. So at VW's it's wrong to list them as "made for N" just because of the mudflaps In the K 70-parts catalogue (for other VW's of that years goes the same code-systematics) I have only found two "made for N"-features: 1. the front side indicators (for DK, I and J, too) 2. an extra heating-cable into the carburator-cap for the version with startautomatic (1973+), for the other arctic countries S, SF and DK, too.
