dragonboy ![]() | This is for the closest yellow miura, and as you can sere we kow which specific model it is already. Finding out the red countach and orange miura, and even the red (what i think is a Jalpa) is easy to find by just going to Jay Leno's website and then commenting here as to what they are. | 2009-10-15 11:38

pilou ![]() | I agree this is an Australian 1939 Buick series 41 Special with body by Holden.Australian build GM models had a rounder and somewhat flatter trunk design. Also the car here still has a 2 piece rear window whereas 1939 US and Canadian McLaughlin Specials already had a one piece rear window | 2009-10-15 10:05

nzcarnerd ![]() | That looks like an Australian plate - hopefully one of our Aussies will confirm it. The reason no-one can recognise the body style is that it is a Holden-bodied 1939 Buick - most likely a series 41 Special. The mechanicals may have been sourced fron Flint - I am not sure on that one. Buicks for NZ in this period were sourced from Flint with Flint-built bodies assembled here in NZ. To sum up - 1939 Buick series 41 Special with body by Holden. |

rjluna2 ![]() | No, ingo, I don't get this mixed up. I do know that Canadian manufacture makes right hand drive vehicles locally and export. Remember Canada was former British colony and they were using right hand drive vehicles until the twenties. Even though the road was switched to right side, some customer still like to buy vehicles with right hand drive until in the forties/fifties. |

Gag Halfrunt ![]() | But Canada and Australia were both in the British Empire. IIRC (and this is something I learned here), some American manufacturers made RHD models for Australia, etc. in Canada because import tariffs would be lower than for US-made cars. | 2009-10-14 19:01
