| 1963 Citroën DS 19 Cabriolet Gattaca (1997) |
DynaMike ![]() | Most DS convertibles were built by Chapron, indeed. So is this one, but it was sold by Citroën. Therefore this model (recognisable by the shape of the boot lid) was known as 'Usine'; the 'official' Chapron models had a bigger boot lid. By the new bumper and the old, claphand wipers this car dates from 1963 or 1964. I think the names Cabriolet and Décapotable were both used, even Cabriolet Décapotable together... but Cabriolet is most common (and was used by Citroën in their publications). The car shown here seems to have US front indicators, but US models didn't have the 'boomerang' rear indicators (visible just behind the folded down roof)... Probably a private import to the USA. |

| 1963 Citroën DS 19 Cabriolet Gattaca (1997) |
Cycolac Fan ![]() | Known as the Decapotable, almost certainly a Henri Chapron version. Could be a DS 19 or a 21. I was lucky enough to drive one briefly a few years ago. Lovely car to drive but a tiny back seat and everything aft of the windscreen was handmade and uniquely made to measure on each car! |

| 1970 Rover 2000 TC [P6] Gattaca (1997) |
neoDuke ![]() | The back vehicle is the 2000TC. The front 3500S is the Will Ferrell Austin Powers 2 car, the X-Files Indian taxi, the Princess and the Marine taxi, and the Crank High Voltage Police car. |

| 1963 Studebaker Avanti Gattaca (1997) |
CougarTim ![]() | This Avanti is worth only 1 star, but the main character drove a dark-colored Avanti that I'd give 3 stars. In this vision of the future, all the cars have been converted to electric power. They hum smoothly and silently along, and you plug them in at the end of the day. |

| 1971 Buick Riviera Gattaca (1997) |
CougarTim ![]() | I just saw this movie tonight. There's a great line that goes with this scene. [Scene: waves crashing on the beach] Vincent (the narraror): I was conceived on the Riviera. Not the French one. The Detroit one. [Pan down to two people making love in a Buick] |

| 1970 Rover 3500 S V8 [P6B] Gattaca (1997) | duke | Three U.S. 1970 3500S cars were used. The cars were stock except for dechroming and green Mylar over the headlights. The Loren Dean/Uma Thurman car would later be used as the cliff jumper in Austin Powers 2. The car Uma bounces off of in the alley struggle was the chase car in Austin Powers 2. |
