So be it.

1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham [7059X]
Le piège américain (2008)
doublej SEUsed to own a 1957 Brougham.
There are no exterior differences between a 57 and a 58 Brougham.
If you open the doors, the hinges are different and the lower chrome trim.
Regarding the metal door cladding of the 57's, I seem to remember that it was the fist 1000 or so that got it.
The carb setup differs, 57 had 2x4 port and the 58 a 3x2 port.
Only thing you could specify was exterior paint and a lot of interior choices (44 )

There is a lot of info to be found here:

CougarTim USThe interior door panel further rules out the 98, which had a different interior (see Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.com" ). The Dynamic 88 can be excluded because that model had the reverse lights mounted under the main taillights and not in the bumper. By process of elimination, this can only be a Super 88. 2011-02-01 01:46

Nightrider RUAccording to:
http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/cad1950/CAD58E-70.HTM
"The major change for the Eldorado Brougham was seen inside the car. The interior upper door panels were now finished in leather instead of the metal finish used in 1957. New wheel covers also appeared."
As for engine, in 1958 comression ratio was slightly higher...

Zophos1979 NLThat was my problem with getting a screenshot for this car, it is only shown in shots from angle this angle, or head on from the front (from quite a distance i9n side the tunnel, so backlit, or looking from the headrest of the driver seat towards the righthand C-pillar...
Had hoped someone more familiar with these would be able to see if there is any detailing differences between the variations

electra225 ITI believe that if this is a Canadian market car, it is a '63 Mercury 400, since the plain Monterey was not available. You could in 1963 in Canada choose between the basic 400 and the Monterey Custom. 2011-01-31 19:36

Le piège américain (2008)
Commander 57 USAgreed.
I was around as a kid when the '65 Mustang was first introduced and I can assure you they were all called "1965 Ford Mustangs" from the very first one and every one was VIN-coded for the 1965 model year.
Let the "1964 Mustang" RIP. NO SUCH THING!

1965 Ford Mustang
Le piège américain (2008)
Bø-Viks NOfrom internet : "With all the confusion over differences between the 1964 and a half Mustang and the 1965 model it can be very tough to identify them. The issue is that all Mustangs from the very beginning of production back on March 9th of 1964 use the identifier "5," standing for the year 1965, in their VIN.

Technically there is no "1964 Mustang" however collectors and enthusiasts refer to those cars built from March 9th to August 17th of 1964 of that year as "1964 and a half" Mustangs. Another variation is to call these cars "early 1965s" and the cars built after the above period "late 1965s."
