| 1956 Cadillac Ambulance Miller Malcolm X (1992) |
Animatronixx ![]() | Judged from the quarter windows, this appears to be one of the last coaches built by A.J. Miller (before they were conjuncted with Meteor to form Miller-Meteor in 1957). -- Last edit: 2008-01-02 23:22:46 |

| 1962 Lincoln Continental Malcolm X (1992) | marknpgh289 | It is a '62 based on the grille. The rear of the roofline was different for '64. The upper rear corner is sharp rather tham curved. Lincoln used curved side glass on the '61-63 Continentals and flat glass starting in '64. | 2007-11-29 06:23 | |
| 1962 Lincoln Continental Malcolm X (1992) | marknpgh289 | It is a 1962 Continental. The rectangular grille openings are '62 only. The '63s were squares. | 2007-11-29 06:20 | |
| 1973 Checker Taxicab [A11] Malcolm X (1992) |

| 1959 Buick Malcolm X (1992) |
mrcadillac ![]() | I would take it out of the "unidentified" folder. It's a '59 Buick. The model is unimportant since UNRECOGNIZABLE from this angle. | 2006-11-29 18:53
| 1959 Buick Malcolm X (1992) |
junkman ![]() | Correction: All three models - Le Sabre, Invicta and Electra - were available in six-window four door sedan as well as four-window flattop four door hardtop configuration, so I am none the wiser. All i can say is this seems to be a six window sedan. |

| 1959 Buick Malcolm X (1992) |
junkman ![]() | I daresay it is the 6-window 4-door sedan and not the 4-window flattop hardtop. thus it is most likely a Le Sabre. | 2006-11-29 15:07
| 1959 Buick Malcolm X (1992) |
TheDriver ![]() | This is a tricky one! As far as I know the Invicta originally hasn't the "V" in the middle of the grille. I can't exactly say if it is a LeSabre or a Electra, because I can't clearly see the rear window. The Electra had a panorama rear window while the LeSabre had a normal coupe like drop down window or whatever this is called.... |

| 1958 Fiat 1100 [103D] Malcolm X (1992) |
Gag Halfrunt ![]() | According to the IMDB, none of Malcolm X was filmed in India. However, there was filming in Cairo, so this is likely to be the original Fiat, perhaps assembled CKD in Egypt. (IIRC the scenes of Malcolm X in Mecca were filmed there, because only Muslims are allowed in the holy city.) http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0104797/locations |

| 1962 Cadillac Sedan DeVille Malcolm X (1992) |
mrcadillac ![]() | I agree with "philr" that this door panel design is featured on the 1962 Cadillac 6-window "Sedan de Ville" (as well as the "Series 62" convertible, the "Coupe de Ville", the 4-window "Sedan de Ville" and the "Park Avenue Sedan de Ville". The seat pattern, however, does not match the door design, hence my initial doubts. In addition to style #6339, therefore, it could be also style #6329 or #6389. | 2006-11-25 22:10

philr ![]() | 100% sure, the car has seat covers and not all Cadillacs have leather seats anyway! And the door panels are unique to the 1962 DeVille model. This one is a 6 window hardtop model 6329. This body style was available only on Buicks Oldsmobiles and Cadillacs. |

antp ![]() | I was meaning that it was supposed to be the same one in reality (i.e. the two cars "play" the same role), but not especially the same car actually used in the two movies. Though it is maybe the case, as Gag Halfrunt mentionned it. -- Last edit: 2006-11-06 23:52:11 |

G-MANN ![]() | What do you mean it's supposed to be the same car as one in a film made ten years after this one? I think you mean the car in Dark Blue is supposed to resemble this one. The car you see here is actually the car Rodney King drove when he was chased by the LAPD, since this is from footage of the real life incident. -- Last edit: 2006-11-06 23:50:09 |

| 1956 Cadillac Ambulance Miller Malcolm X (1992) |
mrcadillac ![]() | Professional car (ambulance) on the Cadillac commercial chassis for 1956 (note the oval, through-the-bumper exhaust ports). The absence of a side view and any tail-gate markings make it impossible to positively identify the coachbuilder. Roof quarter panel design is more common on certain Superior and Eureka models that year (not so common on Hess & Eisenhardt or Miller-Meteor professional cars). | 2006-11-06 20:58
