blue123  | I am working on a film in Canada that needs to re-create the "grassy knoll" in Dallas. There was a fellow in New Jersey who built a replica but sold it to someone in Florida 19 years ago. The trail ends there right now. I was wondering if anyone knew where that car might be, or where the vehicle that they used to film JFK is located. I appreciate that there is one in France but right now that won't work. Thank you |

MrCadillac  | C'est vrai. Le cinéaste a "bricolé" une limousine "Series 75" (chassis long) pour en faire ce faux cabriolet d'apparat. En 1956, la Maison Blanche en avait commandé deux au carrossier Hess & Eisenhardt, pour servir de "voiture suiveuse" et au transport des "G-Men" (agents de sécurité de la CIA) lors des déplacements présidentiels. Cela n'a pas empêché le pire, le 22 novembre 1963. Les deux voitures d'origine (plus longues et plus larges) existent toujours mais ni l'un ni l'autre des propriétaires n'a voulu prêter son auto pour le tournage (on peut les comprendre !) L'un deux, Jack Tallman (concessionnaire Cadillac à Decatur) dans l'Illinois, a bien voulu me prêter la sienne, en 1978, mais je suis resté sous son haute surveillance !
