1912 Napier 15hp Tourer [Type T38]

Antosia zgubil gorset (1916) Weasel1984 PLYes - it is important, that the film was not to find for years, it disappeared, but then this copy is widely known in the web under this title. I didn’t follow this and do not know who is responsible for that. The lost-films.eu, still have it listed, but not sure how often they refresh the list.

There are two possibilities:
a) the film’s year is wrong and it is newer
b) more possible - indeed - some other "unknown" old film have been wrongly identified as "Antoś pierwszy raz w Warzszawie" and real "Antoś" is still missing. :D Comparing the plot with the description, it wouldn't be so strange IMO (similar, but on the other hand, not so similar).

There is a problem with many old Polish films from those times, as they were destroyed during the WWII, hence many is unknown/missing and this what survived is quite often incomplete.
Whatever we have here, it was made before the 1918. I will change title to “???”.

Edit! OK I have it. It was not so difficult - I went too fast yesterday - sorry. The film is 1916 "Antosia zgubił gorset". Now the plot fits well as hell.

Antosia zgubil gorset (1916) Jale PLNo, date on IMDB is ok. "Antos pierwszy raz w Warszawie" is one of the earliest Polish movies. Maybe footage isn't really from this film? It's supposed to be lost and I'm not sure, that was indeed found... 2012-05-22 15:54
1912 Napier 15hp Tourer [Type T38]
Antosia zgubil gorset (1916)
Sunbar UKThe car looks far too late for 1907-1908 when the movie was made according to IMDb?

Napiers changed significantly in the years around 1910 the car looks to date from 1912.

Antosia zgubil gorset (1916) Sunbar UKSomething is wrong indeed and I am starting to think that the IMDb listing could be wrong! The car looks far too late for 1907-1908? Napiers changed significantly in the years around 1910. I will remove the date but leave a comment on the car's listing. 2012-05-22 15:50
Antosia zgubil gorset (1916) Phil Leon DESomething is wrong: a car from 1912 cannot show up in a movie from 1908. Could someone change it, please? 2012-05-22 15:34

Antosia zgubil gorset (1916)
nzcarnerd NZHad another look. The clue is the radiator filler - it is a Napier, probably a 15hp Model like the one on this page - http://www.actonhistory.co.uk/acton/page10.html - although unfortunately no date is given but I am sure it is later than 1908. 2012-05-22 03:07
