| 1962 Prince Skyline [S21D-4] Top Sales (2008) |
nzmax ![]() | The S21-4 series were released in September 1962 and replaced with the new shape Skyline in November 1963. They are a facelifted version of the BLSI-3 series of May 1961-Sept 1962, with changes made to the front wings, hood, grille and headlight postion. Other than that they were identical in chassis, body, drivetrain etc, other than a few interior trim changes etc, to the previous Skylines. Although still a rare car in New Zealand, there are more surviving S21 series Skylines here than any of the others. I have both a 1962 BLSID-3 Skyline and a 1963 S21 Skyline wagon, badged as a Skyway. |

| Top Sales (2008) |
sunny1600vr ![]() | The motorvehicle manufacturing company that goes out to the story is not "Omiyake Motors" but "Miyake cars". It is a setting whose female hero's Hisako Makino is a dealer of the "Miyake cars" to work for "Miyake-Motors-Jyohonan". Then, the relation to the man who has proceeded to the dealer from the "Miyake car" is woven to the story. There is a person of real existence that acted as a model though this story is a fiction. It worked for the dealer of the Honda car by the person "Hayashi Fumiko" and put high-ranking sales results. Afterwards, it endeavored as it changed one's job to a Japanese agency of BMWs, it became the first general manager in the woman in this company, and the shop where sales results were sluggish was made a top result. It became BMWs dealer's president at later years. It is a mayor in Yokohama City in 2009 through twist and turn. The company that became the model of the "Miyake car" looks from the setting of having made the airplane while fighting like Nissan Motor Co. (Prince car) or Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd., etc. However, this setting only seems to use because it was necessary for characters' careers, and not to be especially specification of which company as the model. nzcarnerd ![]() | I think this model is actually a Personal Six. If you look closely at the badge on the flank it could be interpreted as such. There is the odd one or two of these here in NZ. The car in the background is a bit more difficult - maybe a Cedric from the early '60s or even an early President?? | 2008-04-18 11:38 | |

| 1962 Prince Skyline [S21D-4] Top Sales (2008) |
nzcarnerd ![]() | This is not a Toyota Crown. It is an early Prince Skyline from about 1960. Haven't yet worked out exactly which one it is. Check out the 1960 car on this page and compare the front bumper area. The grille is not exactly the same but it is the best picture I have come up with so far. http://www.earlydatsun.com/prince.html -- Last edit: 2008-04-18 11:31:23 |

big dave ![]() | This could be a flashback scene where the 25 year old main character is about 10 years old. She takes her one car ride with her dad before he flees to escape paying back a large amount of money. This would place this scene in the 1960s. |
