2001 Seat León 1a generación [Typ 1M]
Kalwi & Remi: El Nino (2006)
carchasesfanatic ESWell i will always put accents on León because if not its gramaticaly incorrect in Spanish, every Seat model names are from cities or regions in Spain, so they are proper names that "follows" ( sorry i dont know how to say this) the accentuation rules, Altea, Toledo, León (with accent), Marbella, so probably in the badge of the model they dont have accent but when you type it it should as it hurts the sight (expression we say in spanish) if you read it without accents :p ,

Bref you speak about pronuntiation having accent or not, in spanish it happens the same we need the accent to get the propert pronuntiation, and, since this is spanish then i put it.

antp BEAbout Citroën, if you put "Citroen" it is replaced by "Citroën" by the site (same for Skoda and others). But I have no auto-correct thing made for model names, I should add a function for that.
About León, if I remember correctly, not so long ago they were putting the accents on non-Spanish sites too (I do not know for other commercial documents).
But why was J-2 saying that the accent had to be removed? Should it be put back on the other Leon/León?

Alexander DEIt is rather funny, on international (non spanish) pages they write 'Leon' but at the same time use their slogan 'auto emoción'.

Actually it is not too difficult to type the 'ó' on any keyboard: hold the 'ALT' key and type '0243' on the number pad.

Ah "Léon, Léon, Léon... roi de Bayonne, roi de Bayonne! ... ah Léon, Léon, Léon roi de Bayonne, roi des coui..."

(I'm just kidding ;) )

I agree with you, but what we consider is not compulsory badging of the car, but rather "official" designations we can have on official documents from the makes (commercial brochures, etc...)

I agree, it's nicer to write name of the models as there are written in their country.. and it makes a tiny exotic touch for the foreigners :) ...unfortunately on french "azerty" keybords we can't do it :/ ... so it's up to you to modify the name when you find mistakes ...

However, I would just gives a little objection ;)
I consider the nicest way of naming models is to use the names of models in the country where they are,and as you know these names can be different to be adapted to the market were there are sold... in such a way a Renault 21 Nevada in France is named Renault 21 Savana in England for example.... I consider this could be extend to the way of writting it... and in such a way a "french Seat Leon" should not have the accent on the "o" as it was sent to the french market... You can see any Seat documentation in french , you won't find accent on the "o" ;)
Of course we can't afford to use this rule for Arabian, Cyrillic, chineese or japaneese films or scenes in these countries, for obvious reasons! :D

It is because León with this accent "ó", for example here, sounds a bit strange - "Leoon". ;)
