Plate looks like EML 23 (Middlesex 1936), or maybe EKL (Kent 1937) or EXL (Kent 1938). -- Last edit: 2017-01-21 18:57:12 |

Its appearance matches a Merryweather Turntable Ladder appliance based on an Albion chassis similar to preserved vehicle 'JEV 802' Although often listed as a Leyland consensus is that its actually an Albion. Almost identic FHT 674 is registered as 1938 Merryweather (✓ Taxed due: 01 November 2018):![]() http://ccmv.aecsouthall.co.uk/p270439047/h165366f7#h165366f7 JEV 802 is described also as 1938 Merryweather, and even it's owner - museum - don't know for sure maker of the chassis: http://www.fire-engine-photos.com/picture/number16406 Then probably best will be list this truck under the Merryweather make, and year 1938 (with plate EXL) |
