Going by the tail lamps it is a later model 323 from 1979 or 1980. |

Probably yes, but there were lesser models (L, GL, etc.) that are visually very difficult to distinguish. All of them were Great Little Cars, nevertheless... I do think that these cars were available earlier than 1979 (1976/7 if I remember correctly), and were replaced by the next generation in 1981. They are still a common sight on SA roads. |
