Looks more like a Chanteuse Springbok to me.

Maybe, maybe not - I haven't sussed out all the Aus versions. Door badge looks like 1600 so it's an S3c whatever, and Hillman Minx Australian De Luxe (ADL) seems to match

- not really sure how much difference there was from true Gazelle, but ....

In opposite to this inedible something on these pics, its eponym -either Springbok or Gazelle- is a marvellous delicacy :miam:

But you haven't lived until you've eaten a "bric" in Tunisia!

I should have known better with Australian variants, nothing is what it seems, did Rootes build in Aus, or was it ckd assembly?

About the first I cannot remember, it was 23 years ago, when I had been there. And it was a cheap 3*-hotel, so nothing with High End-delicacies there.

About the Down Under-ish Rootes crap maybe it's something to find, here our Aussie-Minxes.

Rosemaryfromstaffs grew up in East Africa, she may have had some form of gazelle or such, we were last in Tunisia a few months before the atrocity occurred, and miss the option of visiting again. Our first trip was in 1972, we flew both ways on a Bristol Britannia.

The bric, or brique, is not high end, it's a pancake with a boiled egg, or sardine or chicken filling, delicious as a snack and quite cheap.

We were in a 5* last time, and the bric was about 7 dinars on the lunch menu. Unfortunately, it's going to take some political changes before we dare return, hence the Rhine cruise this year.

As a sidelight, here's a screen-cap from episode 70; note the Rootes containers in the background!
