The Fordson Thames E83W( E for England , 8 year of introduction 1938 ,3 code for the 10 hp 4 cylinder engine and W for forward control) was introduced in 1938 and produced untill the mid-fifties with minor modifications .This is a pickup version inthe context of the movie probably immediately pre or post WWII |

Featured on this E83W enthusiast site but without being able to identify further. However the pics here and there do not seem to show the second starting handle hole in lower grille, which seems to be 1948+ when they started making LHD E83Ws. After 1946 by the quick drop windows with chrome plated finger grips. Another comment from the E83W enthusiast site was that the early 1938 examples had more bulbous protruding headlamp lenses. |
