It looks GM-based to me. |

The internet says these safari trucks are GMCs and Fords. Probably GMC unless obviously a Ford. The truck in the thumbnail is definitely a GMC shape and is not the truck in the main picture. |

Or a medium-duty Ford (F-650 / F-750) unless proven a GMC? Look at the door shape and at the hood opening, on the wheel arch: ⇒ 2000-15 Ford F-Series I agree with this. It appears to be more precisely a 1990-2002 GM GMT530, i.e. a GMC Topkick / Chevrolet Kodiak. And possibly a 1997-2002 "slopped hood" model, as long as heavy changes were not made to the cowl. -- Last edit: 2016-10-27 05:57:23 |

another view of it ( i hope it is the same ) if it can help |

@ Baube: It's a view of the GMC, i.e. the one in night cub's comment? I see a rounded hood in your picture, which would confirm the 1997-2002 model I already mentioned. |

Could the main truck be a 2016 Ford with flat-top fenders? |

i took mine from Google images while searching for Disney's Animal Kingdom but i don't know if night cub did the same or got it from the series which explains the ( i hope it is the same ) from my previous comment of course, the possibility that they have many similar vehicles ( but not identical ) exists too -- Last edit: 2016-10-27 07:20:08 |

The episode was released in September 2016, so why not? Thanks, I didn't notice until then that the 2016 model was using the same cab, with just a huge facelift of the cowl and of the grille: -- Last edit: 2016-10-27 07:58:34 |

I am thinking of Ford F-Series Super Duty cab body with roof chopped off and with the custom bonnet assembly |

Same door/cab indeed (at least for a 1999-2016 model), but once more, the hood opening line on the wheel arch indicates more likely a medium-duty truck, and so do the height of the step under the cab and the external mirror fixation. Not to mention that the wheels and wheel arches are "outside" the cowl |

Who validated the GMC identification? Nothing matches (door shape, door handle, hood opening...), whatever the generation??? |

not me |

It's a 2013+ Ford F-Series Medium Duty. Disney has a contract with GM for park vehicles, but because GM no longer makes a Medium Duty truck they used Ford's with a custom hood so it looks less "Ford-like". They also have F-450's as recovery vehicles and ride vehicles for the Wild Africa Trek, but you'll notice they remove the Ford badges from the grill. |

Of course, it is an ABC show after all and Disney owns ABC so, this is really going overboard with how many times Disney wants to show us that they Own ABC. |

It does have the Ford F-Series door style here. |
